6000 unit attack?

I know about those +3 wave attack look items. But those attacks usually have 3k troops in them. This attack had almost 6k? Can someone please explain how this works and if there's anyway to actually defend against this?

Any help is appreciated!

P.s. The attack never landed because he recalled it back

It is now a strategy game on how to spend your money (or not).

It wasn’t  6k it would have been 5k. It reduces the army size when it lands. It is possible to defend against it, you just need to go into defence mode, which is what it is there for.

Also there now are relic builditems craftable with Beyond the Horizon reward materials that can give up to another additional 60% flank and 60% front if you would max them

You are absolutely right and pair that with beri bonuses 6k troops will easily be the norm.

"the norm". how many Horizons will it take to get the build items even half levelled-up?

Did someone made a calculation on how many Horizon events are needed and what the investment in real money that would require? I suspect you would be shocked. All these new features makes the strongest only stronger and drives the F2P players out of the game.

That is a choice made by GGE but do have the guts to say it aloud to everyone so we all know this a pure pay to win game.

  • Sorry for the late response, the battle did go through last week, it was only 4900 troops. (I lost 9300 troops)

From what you have all said, the Hall of Legends points on attack, great relic Commanders with high flank limits, and those +3 wave look items can Create a terribly large army.

Thanks for all the advice and tips!

@Lagertha U know anyone who has placed high individually or otherwise who didn't spend a fortune (or his /her team mates did)

Do U know anyone who made any individual rewards who didn't spend?

It's not that much of a choice. It's a marathon for spenders and a lock out for ftp!

We have a saying in Dutch that F2P play the game "for bacon and beans". You can play but you will achieve nothing in the end.

Surely that's true for all games whether you pay to play or not, in the end you end up with nothing.

Current payout levels, alliance finishing in the top 50( outside the very top) with no personal rewards and assuming BTH runs every other week you will need  something like 10 years each to finish the range and melee attack build items and  20 years each to finish the front, flank and cy build items.  At least that is what I came up with.  level 30 build items require 75000 timber we earn ~2500 per event for a top 50 finish.  That is 30 events to grind materials for the final level,  Each level increases approximately 2500 timber, level 1 2500, level 2 5000, level 3 7500, etc. so roughly 6 events to get to a level 3 build item.

Can the CM's confirm or refute these estimates?

I would very much like to be wrong about this.

Hey maybe that’s the point to slow up play a bit and perhaps work on bugs or reward enhancements.

It does seem GG has to keep making something new to keep us playing.  Our amusement park is looking better but there is definitely room for changes.

What's an amusement park with tigers?  Are they free roaming and eating the patrons?  That's a metaphor I quite like...

Funny Crom, relating to a state fair. You do know all of the games you play for prizes at a fair are designed for PAYERS to lose often if not always and only the Game Stands make out with the wins... That is quite the comparison. Spot on Crom, your right it's a carnival rip off.
