Food production

We all work very hard to upgrade granaries. Why does the upgrade in food on the individual granary not show as the exact same amount of increased food production for the castle ? I upgraded a small % granary which gave it 6.2 extra food BUT the overall food for the castle only increased by 5.8 ?
Along the same line, if I add up all food for each granary my total is over 500 food more than the castle food production shown ... that's a BIG difference.

Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence.
Well afaik small differences like 0.4 food are definitely ok due to rounding. I have accounts that have >10 food difference than the expected due to rounding.
This rounding error means that the client does not display your food exactly as it actually is. So you should be getting the correct amount, even if you don't see it.

We have figured out the issue on our own and it is very unsettling to say the least
As far as I understood you have a difference of 0.4 food in your castle. So instead of let's say 1000 food produced, you are getting 999.6, right? My maths might be rusty, but that is much less than 4%.
Feel free to correct my if I understood wrongly.

Here is my correction - that was for one tiny upgrade. My food production added up for individual granaries is 800 food more than the castle shows - almost 4%. And we also figured out that this only happens for subscription buyers. I am guessing we are not getting out extra 5% food.
