lol.....well I guess that was a beautifully scripted piece of PR. I did not say that the formula had changed but that the return had changed and now it would seem I was correct. I started out with Intermediate + to work out how the different options worked and yes the formula may very well have not changed but if you…

Hey Poseidon. I must admit that I did not believe that the return was the same but the last FI/BC was the 1st I enjoyed and played properly for a long time so I am happy with the update and will trust you response on noting more than a gut feeling :)
  • With regard to the FI/BC update I like the idea about being able to select of castle and not having to hit 100s of pointless castes to get one worth hitting and anyone can now choose how difficult they want to play this event but yes a little disappointed that the glory return seems to have changed from the original…
  • If there are things broken in this game this would not be on my list. If I have spells away from the game why should I have a glory rank that just remains and why should active players not have reward and have the glory rank. No I think activity should be rewarded and if I want to regain a rank when I am back in the game…

Indeed, but I guess you are not involved in business strategy since as I said people are fickle. Do you really believe any business can offer such incentives to guarantee keeping the 20% and that they cannot be tempted to move all be it for a new experience. lol...nah. Any business that has 20% doing 80% of the work…
  • Truth is business strategy is far more complex than a simple principal. WE have seen giants fall in our lifetimes since they have not managed enough factors. Yes of course the 20% are important but people are by nature fickle and the clever businesses engage in all parts of their business looking at groups of customers in…
  • lol....the Pareto principal more commonly used in my profession as an Accountant as the 80/20 rule where it is not simply applied to business strategy but to a number of work related matters. Looking at your numbers Poseidon you are at such an extreme end of the 80/20 rule that it no longer applies as much as calling a…
  • lol.....well a classic GGS move and with 15% of revenue based around advertising one wonders how that revenue stream is fixed, Surely a reducing player base should reduce that logically. I am sure it is not just me on the GB server that has noticed old accounts reappearing (ghost accounts). Indeed one of these was a player…
  • As much as Green events seem to have settled into a cycle of 2 so does Outers where this seems to be settling into the build and swap versions with no BTH. I guess that the same analysts who have assessed that Nomads and FI/BC are the most profitable in Green have also assessed these 2 are the most profitable other events.…
  • It would make sense that this falls into the same discussion realm as Sams. Someone in Stillfront has assessed spend and Outers gives them more money. You have to laugh at how the game provider describes themselves especially....they want to have a positive impact on the life of a gamer. Corporate terminology translated…
  •
Yep much the same. Had no issue spending in Outers or BTH since in truth the build rewards are useful and I am not yet bored of them. lol...but to spend more money playing the same old cycle of Green events, since lets be honest Nomads is coming again, is just not that appealing. I guess this is what Stillfront mean…

No the 25 and 5 hr skips have gone as well. lol....what to do with all of these silver tokens. Can I trade them in for a cuddly toy?
  • lol....I will make no decisions regarding my game future until the next Blacksmith cycle. On that basis I am playing what could be my last BC/FI and guess what. The event is riddled with spy reports not sticking. My word not even enough is spent in this P2P game format to resolve glitch issues and keep the format running…
  • @BM_Daisho. Many thanks for the posting and comments. lol....yes "subject to change" has always been the bastion of negative and detrimental changes ignoring the principal that there is a core of rewards in the blacksmith that has set a precedent of expectation. Welcome and useful rewards earnt by effort rather than spend…
  • I agree with all written in this thread and the recent Blacksmith change heralds yet another nail in the coffin. How this game can be referred to as F2P I really am not sure. Yes of course legally it can be said but in any real sense of playability it really can no longer be said. Yh log in, loot some towers, build…

Completely agreed and what are these game providers thinking to introduce such a slap to their customers and therefore the game. If there is any truth in their mission statements they will end this post haste.
  •
Agreed. The truth is simply there is currently an inequality within the servers in GGE but this change will ultimately be widespread across all servers. Complete madness that a game provider would introduce a change so wittingly that it knows will be hugely unpopular and in such a manner.
  • I find it interesting that there is indignation at the very suggestion that the game providers have no long term plans for this game since there seems to be no respect for a loyal customer base where decision after decision shows little sustainability. The game provider knows that the recent changes to the Blacksmith would…
  • Exactly....they seem to struggle to even run the few events they do have so we are down to two Green events with the occasional Beri. The only game changes seem to then further detriment the playability of the game for a large proportion of the playing community. Perhaps if they spent a little less time working out how to…
  • Yes that suggestion would certainly contradict a number of mission statements that Stillfront include in their own description of themselves: "Stillfront is a leading free-to-play powerhouse of gaming
studios. Our diverse and exciting games portfolio has two
common themes; loyal users and long lifecycle games."…
