I have no idea what point you are trying to make here. Could you break it down for me, in the context of the discussion so far? Here's a summary. Me: GGS maybe persuaded people to vote for them with rubies. You: That is impossible without magic and time travel. Me: They sent everyone ingame messages promising free rubies…
-
Which they do. This year, they spammed everyone with ingame system messages, and posted it on the forum: http://en.board.goodgamestudios.com/empire/showthread.php?101702-Vote-for-us-in-the-2014-EGAs!! And then gave everyone a couple of hundred rubies when they won.
-
Everyone asked for actual, live, real-time, player v player battles. Nobody asked for faceless copypasta attacks from constantly respawning robots. If you like it, then that's great - as long you're having fun, this is the game for you.
-
In 2013, Goodgame Empire won MMO of The Year - in a public vote, perhaps influenced by offering rubies to players to vote? The Jury prize - awarded by the "gaming industry" that you are so deferential to - went to F***e of E*****s.

As if it would make any difference... you know it doesn't matter what you say, so for the CMs and mods to tell you how to say it is just yanking your chain.
-
No response? Perhaps you thought I was asking a smart-alec rhetorical question, which it would be pointless to answer. Not so. You imply here that some feedback is "useful" (from which come "constructive suggestions" and "great ideas"), which can be stifled by a poor signal:noise ratio. Obviously everyone wants more signal…

Now, now, ye sneerers. You obviously haven't understood the mathematical proof that everything is fine: Quod erat demonstratum.
-
Even though it isn't an argument, it is absolutely the most important subjective response. However, as a subjective response, there's not really very much you can say about it, is there? So, I'm not sure that it is being "ignored", as such, it just doesn't add anything to the discussion. I've said several times that as…
-
What percentage of these great ideas were implemented?
-
I know! That is completely useless, right? How can you possibly divine anything useful from a multiplicity of threads largely complaining about the same thing? Just ignore it, at least until everyone learns to give vent to their frustrations in an ordered and acceptable manner. And then ignore that as well.

It was. Human players using strategy in real time to do battle with one another - that's a war game. Attacking and defending pretend foreign robots who outnumber you and constantly respawn is... Space Invaders.
-
Because people are still playing, and paying. And as long as they're having fun - and can afford it - then the company is providing a good deal. If you aren't having fun, then maybe this game isn't for you.

This is supposed to happen, if you have bought Hamlet's Sword Of Existential Indecision.

Don't mind me.

The forums set the same cookie, which persists when you log out. You must either locate and delete the cookie, or use a separate browser - always - for each forum. Not sure why you'd go to all that effort, tbh.

They're not that cheap. Well, lazy about cookies, maybe - access the forum from another browser, or incognito, or log out from gge first. There is a separate forum.
-
Maybe you should post less frequently? Yes, that's what it is.

Haha, my point is that they don't care, because their business model works without the need for expensive customer retention schemes. I'm with you, I think their customer service is rubbish - but as long as they are making plenty of money, why should they care about a few dozen complainers on the Internet? 50 million…
-
GGS's business model looks pretty solid. If that ain't broke, why fix anything?
-
phillt123, I'm sorry you've been burned. But given that GGS are taking money from people to act as testers for their unfinished product, then surely you knew that you weren't so much buying as gambling? You're right that people quit when they see the playing field being tilted against them. But GGS doesn't care about…
