I can't seem to find the save button when changing the setup in one of my presets?

There was a large save button before the update on the 23rd.

No there isn't any ?

you now have to select just the one wave that you want to make the preset on then the option to save it becomes available. see the piccie enclosed, but yet again another change on the update that wasnt needed and gge failed to tell us about. Hope that helps

Why on earth does GGE not get things done by competent people instead of relying on people with, what seems like, incredibly limited skills? They have now added more things to click and scroll to find informations like total tools per flank...total troops...changing commanders has an impact on the number of troops. This is fast becoming old!! How long does it take to programme something to provide a more informative screen?

its the floppy disk icon theres not that many buttons to hover over to find out, the screan is actually better, probably more complex, but if you get a good technique its better, its just the tools value that a problem, but you can usually do that math to work out how many tools you need, I use 3 presets, 1 for pvp, and 2 for events, I save 1 preset first wave tools and ranged troops, then another preset with just chests, I use the tik boxes fill all wave then fill with the chest saved wave, then press autofill for the troops, then I press the very top tik box out of the screen to untik them all, then tik the top box and fill with the first prest with the ranged and tools, as soon as you get a routine going and work out where the buttons are its a lot faster, it even has cancel waves at the side of each wave, its actually better, but if you dont have presets its an abomination lol, basically they should give presets for free, but just I like to work out the new things and changes

one thing tho that is annoying is if you save a wave say for pvp, lets say middle flank you put 200 range 300 melee troops, it saves it and if you use a commander with less front of your pirate sawmill runs out, when you use that prest it doesnt narrow down the melee range raio, it just fills it with 200 range and 30 melee, I wish it would condence the ratio of melee and range down, some comanders might have 60% front or even more, so when you use another commander you could be sending far too many range and not enough melee, I think an improvement would be to condence the ratio down.

Actually someone posted a video of a work-around to the presets. No screen should be so convoluted that we have to look and see if someone was able to discover the answers needed because clearly the people that designed and programmed it have no idea how to communicate effectively...or at all..

I don't use autofills. I prefer to decide what troops and tools I want to use. I have 2 presets that I used to change out for events. It was fast and easy to do so. No longer. Just attacking is tedious and I find that I do a fraction of what I used to. As a result, I use fewer tools so I barely spend anything now.

My perspective is that I have enough irritation in rl and don't need to log on the game to add to it. Each "fix" (I use the word loosely) they do to break something else edges me closer and closer to the door.

I don't mind changes when they are meaningful and are an improvement but this hodgepodge was done in a haphazard manner with no thought or order in it. They didn't bother to do anything approaching credible testing or they would have discovered a multitude of bugs. My guess is that they don't keep change logs so they could effectively deal with bugs quickly instead of taking weeks and months.

I actually said I use a saved wave of tools and then use the auto fill to fill in the troops, only on nomads and sams, and you create the first wave, on glory casltes you want to make the first wave troops only and save it, copy it to the second wave, then add flags, copy it to all the waves except the first, then fill the tools in the first wave, I was actually explaining a faster, efficiant way to play the game and use the menu, noms, it doesnt realy matter how you arrange your troops, as long as your first wave is all ranged, and you got tools you will have 10 to 20 loses,

I read what you said. As I said, I don't use autofill. I have 2 presets and I did not used to mind swapping them every few events but to do it as you do would mean I would be doing it all the time thereby increasing the irritability factor and reducing the efficiency for me. It would be so much better if GGE actually had competent programmers so the myriad of bugs would be significantly reduced.

I get your complaint but you're already inefficient. Autofill and presets are there to be used and make you more efficient. Not using either one is just holding yourself back.

ey?,, I dont think you understood what I said,I have 3 presets, the pvp one stays the same, I would have more for relic and one day mead troops, but I dont like spending on things like that, especially when the price gos up each one, but lets not get into how GGE opperate,

I actually meant or said, that the other 2 presets would be the same through out the event, and then you change them for the next event, just like what your answer said,

for noms, I would save 1 preset, 1st wave, 7 trunk ladders, 7 rolling shilds on both flanks, middle same but also 10 fire carts, 100% ranged in every slot, and save it, then I will make another wave on line 2, change the tik boxes at the side so I am saving the correct line, then I just fill will chests and save, then when you use them for the hits, you tikk all the boxes except the top one aplly the chest wave to all, and then press auto fill and it fills your troops, the reason I dont save troops is because I might not always have enough ranged troops, its just quicker and easier than changing it all the time to suit what ever troops ou have, its only nomads and sams, its the first wave that matters, your only gona make a difference of a couple of troop loses, so why go through the drama, I usually fill all waves with the tik, there is one box at the top that fills them all for you, use the preset, then auto fill the troops, then after unlcik the tik boxes and use preset 1 with the tools and range, with it saving the next attack you might have to do it in reverse, its just time management, then your top box is already tiked, use first wave then tik all boxes except the top, use the chest preset and auto fill the troops, its so simple and fast.

With glory castles, I fill the fist wave JUST TROOPS, get the mele range ratio opposit to there wall defences, ( this doesnt work with pvp becuase of the quicklime bombs etc ) and save it, then print it onto the second wave, fill the flags in and save it, tik all boxes except the 1st one, and print, I just use the same preset and keep overwritting it, because every glory castle is different, then go back to the first wave and fill in the tools, then fill in the seperate courtyard, it is actually very quick and quicker than the old way if you get a routine or use this method, I just feel for the ones without presets, I only use tools on the first wave, very rarely if its got loads of troops on one flank, I might put shields on the second wave for that flank, but usually I break on first wave 95% of the time, on hard pluss, legendary 400, no mead troops get about 1000 to 1800 loses, this is the quickest and easiest way to use the attack menu, building coms is another conversation.

Your latest update to the attack screen has taken away the ability to change or save any presets and now when I try to by rubies I get this pop-up ...... I guess I don't need to spend anymore money on the game

It was there on the very first update of the attack screen, but has yet to come back. It would be really great to see the number of tools used, vs the number of tools allowed above each section before. It would also be nice to be able to see how many troops you can have per flank just by glancing at the allowed total so you could set up faster. On the first update it was great because you could click on a ladder tool and it would take you to that exact tool above. Now if I click on the latter tool in the setup, and happen to have a shield next to it then you have to watch more and more to make sure that you aren't maxing out a tool that doesn't need it. Why do things that work keep getting broken and things that are broken never get fixed. Something we already had that worked great leaves, but things that didn't matter too much are now more important. Would love to meet the developers someday and those fiscally responsible for the game and let them know that their horrible ability to adapt and provide what the customer is asking for is causing people like myself and many, many of my friends to stop spending. I was spending over 1000 a month until all this crap came out and then I decided to just stop. HOpeful the numbers will make enough noise and the game will get fixed, or on the other side of that, nobody listens in which case I hope we all find the desire to pack up and leave and find something better. We are all like sheep being led to the slaughter. Here take this, use this, buy that, these are awesome changes. Spend more, o and some more and some more and som more. Keep spending because we keep telling you waht you want to hear and there is a .0000001111 chance that maybe we pull our heads out and atually listen to the paying customers to get them what they liked back and to stop finding every possible way to milk the lower end players for money. They didn't spend then, they wont spend now. Find a way to make spending more equal to non spenders. Soon it'll be 15-40 ruby whales battling it out until they are bored. HOpe that month of some increased sales really amped up your revenue, because if not I know my self and hundreds, if not thousands will also be quitting and going to games that don't charge 26,000 rubies for a few mesley banners that will last 1-2 attacks tops. I thought the group behind the game was intelligent, but as is all the world, GGE has focused on how much they can pull from our pockets, because perhaps they too know they have no intention to listen or change and actually do what the customers are asking so they are trying to collect all they can and run. We should all take all the promises of things to come as fraud and dispute with our card companies these illegitimant charges and let them take it up with tthe banks. I had an attack out last reset. 18k troops on a glory hit. I was watching it as I did some work and in seconds they disappeared into thin air. 18k LVL 10 mead troops and tools just vanished. GGE wouldn't listen. They wanted proof. I said yeah let me get my magic hat and and recreate this wizzardy(hacking) to get them back. Let's be real. I've been overcharged, Paid and not received many things. Sometimes have paid to get the item for an event and tney finally give it to me after the event, well day late dollar short, for most. Laws broken left and right and all we ask for is that you listen, pay us back for your thievery and keep making the game better as you follow back to the direction it was in years ago. I don't want to see the game go, but since 2012 I've never heard so many other angry players, and anger is somewhat good in this instance because it means peopole want it to work, but it'll take some changes and some hard work and we'd like to see, how it pans out. Until then. Freeze out the spending everyon. Stop buying. The more we buy the more they think it's fine. Revolt!!! ha ha. NO but for real. It wont change unless the buying members put their foot down and say enough is enough. Question is, how mnany are actually there yet. I hop we find out soon before we all waste more money and get them the payout they are waiting on to jump and run. They know the game can't last forever, especially while under such heave ridicule from the high majority of its members. I'll even give you 5 paper airplanes, 2 pens, the lowest valued baseball card out there and some other cheap goods that you'll just want to throw away anyways so you can see how it feels to get a free gift that you would rather not pass on to your worst enenemy. I really hope it gets fixed before we all wind up in courct with a class action disposing the GGE wackaroocrew of their lives and false statments to get all the wrongful money taking. Hurry buy this before it expires, but wait, we wont give it to you in time to use before it expires so you just waisted 100.00 on those affluence tickets . Can I get my money back then since you said I got them and I couldn't use them in time because your crappy ass server delayed and I didn't get them. OH no that's just an issue with the internet. LOl. I'm not so sure I like the update with the gold from the kahn shop. It makes it harder to get season points buying gold.

So you are suggesting that I am "holding myself back" by not being willing to spend on more presets and waste tools using autofill. Brilliant!! If you don't hear the sarcasm dripping, you are not listening.
