  • I too, am not pleased with the FC/BC garbage castles. I used to dethrone with Khan medallions but last couple of BC/FC have not had that option.  25K horsetail banners and nothing to use them on.  Can we go back to having them run by players on other servers?
    You DO know that never actually happened, right?  The original design was for one server to COPY the defense setup from the other server and use that for the event run.  Even the attacks were to be based on attacks that were setup and launched on the opposing server.   But, it wasn't live.  

    I DO remember when they announced who the opposing server was.  USA1 vs DEU1 was always the one I looked forward to the most.  :)  The opposing server would rotate and you would get a different level of skill.  Of course when I played on ASIA1 the mystical ASIA2 was always the opponent.

    I suppose it became too much of a hassle to copy / update every run, so they just started using the same file over and over again.  Of course, that led to the "tailoring" of the Castles to what GGS wanted the event to be.  Another GRINDfest.  You CAN get the occasional BIG castle still.  But, the event is exactly the way GGS wants it.  You want to get ahead?  Get more points?  BUY THE BOOSTERS.  Hit 100's or 1000's of Castles, just like hitting the Nomad Tents.  

    It isn't about getting big glory in the fewest hits possible.  It is about SPENDING what you can to get where you want to be.....
    I think most players still think that we were actually hitting other players when this would be totally impossible. However, i would have to disagree with the DE1 server. I went up against them and most of them were defending with attackers or attacking with defenders (which was often the case or using the worst attack troops available) and that to me, from what I know about the German server is pretty much a lie. Glory today where you could get millions is just not worth it. Glory, back in the old days was earned and it was earned through sheer hard graft. You had to PvP until you were tired to get any decent glory.

    Anyway, in my opinion, it is time to do away with the FIs/Crows event as they are pointless unless it is for someone to show off their 3 million hit with 9 waves. They should bring back the game as it was, 1 capital in each kingdom and let the alliances battle for it. One metro, let the players battle for it, one KT and let the players battle for it. That way PvP will come back.

    I would say to encourage PvP, change the way glory is calculated.  Cut the glory for pure numbers of troops killed, but then give a multiplier for how close the battle is.  Meaning if you attack with 1000 troops and win with 10 left, you would get a whole bunch more glory than if you had attacked the same target with 2000 troops and won with 1000 left.

    The DE1 service "defense" and "attack" setups you are referring to were likely after they started "tailoring" them.  I also remember getting the attacks of all KG Scouts.  SMH

    Glory clearly isn't what it used to be.  Really, the titles are more of an indication of activity than anything else.  That is why you see a lot of "Players" using the Beri Title.  This hides the fact that the 70/345 account is only at a Marquis title.  IMPOSSIBLE for any ACTIVE player to sit at that level.  King is only 65k glory.  You can get that in a couple flagged hits.

    PvP will only be played by those who want to.  The Majority are Event Based now.  Just the way it is.....

    You will see this a great deal if you have ever been on UK1. These are obviously shell accounts for some reason or another. I'll let you into another secret, it is next to impossible to have the glory rank of Baron, but I found one in a major alliance, and not only that, they also had a capital. I brought this up on this forum and guess what, a couple of days later he took the capital from that shell account and that player has finally gone into ruins. This very same player who hates cheats obviously had keys to that account.

    Anyway, just for info about the PvP, I think it would be best to reduce the amount of Centre of Powers on the maps. I counted altogether on the US server:

    5 Capitals in green.
    3 capitals in ice,
    2 capitals in sands
    1 capital in fire.
    31 Metropolises in Green
    50+ KTs.

    This is ridiculous!! In the old days, there was only 1 capital situated at 657:657. If GGE wanted to make money, all they would have to do is reduce the capitals to 1, that way if an alliance really wants it, then they can take it and try to defend it.

    I did not know that but it does make a lot of sense given the evidence.  Castles have gotten worse on a regular basis and the best I've seen in months is still less than 2k defenders.  Last time they "improved the castles"  the smallest went from in the 300s to in the 400s.  Hardly an improvement when they cut the rate of decent targets.
  • I'm trying to play in the bloodcrow event and there are no castles showing to attack. When i click "show me" it says "No castle Lords found to attack".

    You will find that type of hypocrisy is rampant.  I was chatting with another Player (in another Alliance) a few weeks ago about why I play solo.  I always like to see if they will offer a shell account to hold my Alliance open for me to visit theirs.  In this case the Player agreed that Multi-Accounting was a terrible thing!  Then asked what I meant by the "Keys" to another account.  After explaining that is the user/pass for it, they said OH!  Well, I have that information for my Safehouse.  That is where we park our troops at night to keep them safe!  The CONCEPT that having a Safehouse Account was the same as Multi-Accounting was far to difficult to grasp.  

    I have also been told about a Management Account vs a Main Account.  The Management one was used as the Leader of the Sub-Alliance while the Main was kept in Alliance Main.  

    The list of "Excuses" of why THIS isn't Multi-Accounting just goes on and on.

    Oh, and to get this kind of back on topic:  Multis have historically been used for Glory Boosted Hits.  Haven't heard much talk about those lately.  They were very common during the original Alliance Tournament.  For those who do not know, it was a Glory based contest.  Highest Glory during the event won.  It was often run at the same time as the Foreign Invasion event.  Talk about crazy high Glory BRs.

    People would get far more Glory from the Multi's Def Stacked Glory Boosted Hits than they could ever get from an FL hit.  I wonder if they are still doing that?  Can you imagine how much Glory you would get from a stacked Def Castle with no Cast these days???

    I agree wholeheartedly. I started playing this game back in mid-2012 and I knew and played in the original alliance tournament for glory, which was well before, years even, before the foreign invaders came along. If you take a look at any of baldricks posts on here, they date. There used to be rankings for the amount of coins made in a week until they got rid of it. Anyway, that is off-topic. A lot of those players who were hitting shells, and for that matter hitting each other was a tactic used by the likes of the defunct BSK on the UK server.

    There are very few players left from that alliance, and I doubt that the owners still have them. BSK were the only alliance to cry about a certain alliance gaining glory through hitting each other, yet those who claim this as fact, must have done this themselves. It is a bit like those on the forum who say that certain alliances (especially the German ones) pay other alliances to lose or give up their influence in BTH.

    Those who talk about password sharing, multi-accounting, hiding shells and chargebacks, and say how much they hate these type of players are more often than not doing it themselves. Personally, I don't care if they do, or if they don't, since it doesn't affect my game one little bit. I just think it is about time hypocrites were called out for who they are. The player whom I cited about having a capital only recently is now in ruins and is Count Palatine. That tells me all I need to know about the alliance and their morals.

  • Since GGS dumped a bunch of their staff they clearly don't have the people to monitor multi-account players.  As pointed out previously by someone else, it won't effect most single account players as long as they are playing because they enjoy playing.

    GGE will probably pay the penalty once the lock down ends and players go back to work and school, and most of these accounts die. The only problem will be that GGE will suddenly realise that in fact more players have left than they had multi's during the lock-down, and that's because many players are already fed up and leaving, and TBH who can blame them. What GGE either don't know or wont admit too is that many, many accounts do not in fact die, but are passed on to others or left live in alliances, until they are left to ruins. These then can be brought back at will, or when needed such as we have seen during this lock-down period. The game is definitely losing its addiction qualities because of the overall problems, and GGE not paying attention, so maybe that's for the best.

    just keep grinding... I been pulling 2/3/5/7/8ks pretty regularly but it takes some hitting. 
    I just throw red banners at anything over 1k and just dive down undefended flanks, and big ones turn up eventually

    We are in 9 player groups for rewards.  HOW S IT ANYWHERE NEAR A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD WHEN 6 OF THE 9 IN MY GROUP ARE LEVEL 800'S AND I AM A LEVEL 268??

    CANT THE GROUPINGS BE DONE A LITTLE BIT MORE COMPETITIVELY SOMEHOW?

    With GGE giving players the opportunity to get even more siege tools and flags, it would have been fair to also expect GGE to allow more large castles to spawn on the map during events, instead of still trying to make it an unacceptable grind event, that is driving players away from the event and game. What they seem to miss is the fact that players are more likely to spend if the castles are better with the promise of higher scores, rather than the continued grind with what seem an even worse algorithm brought in by GGE. Ruby players still have the opportunity to lead the events because what's available to other players are also available to them before they even buy rubies. 
    GGe seem to lack the foresight to see this and so improve the algorithm so allowing glory castle defences to increase and so make even more to fill their coffers, rather than the small amounts players use and spend on turning over rubbish castles. The exile system is all but useless, as players realise that once is not enough, and of course each time you exile you also pay for another spy attempt. Spying seems to be another part that GGE has messed with as players report even more failed attempts at spying.
    Come on GGE,
    Less, as in a grind, is not more as in profit. but
    More, as in higher castles, is more as in GGE profit.
    Not rocket science, but give players the targets for higher scores and they will utilise more, siege tools, flags, and attack troops, which means they spend more, but don't do a typical GGE mistake and take away the bonus for these tools etc, thinking more profit again, or it will fail once more.

    There isnt a single lvl 70 player that has 500+ troops in a castle TODAY

    They want you to make time on events  so you can waste tablets to make targets better


    They prefer rubies upgrade tho
