Players Hoarding Multiple Labs and Glory Monuments

I think it is very inconsiderate of any type of player to grab more than one Glory Monument or Kingdom labs, making it harder for others to get them.
Can anyone please give me a really good reason why this type of behavior is necessary? It surely is not indicative of fair play.
Comments
1) they make good bargaining chips if someone else wants one, what will they give for it....
2) by holding it, you deny another alliance of the benefit of it...meaning they are weaker if you need to go to war with them...
So the question really is : why not hold as many as you can?? after all, it apparently is a war game......
I agree with you. I don't think that there is any real need for someone to own multiple labs or monuments since only 1 of each in each kingdom are effective.
The need for multiple labs/monuments for stationing troops in is a good viewpoint. But you certainly don't need 10 labs/monuments in each kingdom just for that unless you are desperate. In such a case you'd be better off to getting someone in the alliance to activate protection mode.
The best answer that i can give you is that a lot of people are selfish. Not all people are considerate and i'm sure there are some people who doesn't even want to be considerate. Because why should they? This is a war game. In war there is mostly if not only just selfishness. People wanting to fulfill and satisfy their own needs and desires. This can be for both good and bad.
From a psychological perspective. The general idea is that the more you possess, the more you will feel like you are in control.
Perhaps the player in question is feeling insecure? Gaining more control is a way for someone to hide or mask their insecurites. Behaviours of superiority (the needs/wants for dominance) is also way to mask or hide insecurities.
It could also be that the player wants to prove to others that they are worthy. Possessing a lot of things in this case is just a way to increase your own worth.
In this game, players and alliances are actively comparing themselves to each other.
I only think that all of this is natural.
I won't debate over any solutions for this as i don't think that this is something that needs to be fixed.
Lab, monument, KT, capital, metro hoarding is surely disappointing to see, but it's all just a part of the game.
the reason why I ended up capturing so many is because if you only send out 1 cap attack, the chances of you landing 1st is small...so why risk it? you wanna send off a few hits so you have a better chance of landing 1st somewhere...its usually how I end up with having more then one. then you also have other members in the alliance that might be doing the same thing...so its why you'll see an alliance having multiple members having multiple monuments & labs.
now with my alliance, after we find out what ones we want to keep to upgrade, we may offer labs or monuments to our allies. we also use them to help barter... this month we ended up not getting any in fire...so what we're doing now is searching for alliances that have a few in fire but none in another kingdom so we can offer them a lab in a kingdom they dont have for their extra lab in fire.
if you dont have any to trade, you can also just simply ask someone nicely who has 2 if they are willing to part with 1. if they say yes that's great! then thank them, wait for em to pull all but 1 man out & send them a few gifts to show your appreciation. the person is correct thou, some cap them for their subs & to help hide men...some do it to increase their alliance command rankings.
