They are currently going through some hard times, struggling to keep head above water.
Plenty of fires in their castles - would ask that the server kindly chips in and donates some wood and stone to all their castles to help fix those fires.

To be blunt the terminology under the circumstances is inappropriate and downright cruel.

Losing a player who fought bravely against long term illness and who was an inspiration to many who played with and against him is extremely difficult and under the circumstances hardly surprising that players feel that a game is of less consequence and have little heart for it.

A second player then lost his father a couple of days ago.

They haven't used that as an excuse or stopped trying but to show that level of disrespect to an opponent isn't winning.

The phrase "a moment of silence" should never have been used in any post in these circumstances. Easy to get caught up in the moment but my advice would be apologise and do it quickly. This isn't something the original account holder would have said or countenanced and given it isn't your account your playing perhaps you might like to think about how they are likely to react when told exactly how much damage you've done to their reputation.

You should be offering your respects and sympathy to opponents who are grieving not gloating at their misfortune. But I guess this is what leadership and respect looks like in En1 now.

Too much to hope BM's / CM's do their job close the thread, ban the player or better permanent suspend the account.

And on what grounds do you suppose the thread should be closed? OP has not broken any rules that I can see and has not talked about anything outside the game whatsoever. Just took a shot at another alliance for dropping in rankings, which is something that happens here all the time.

I appreciate you would be unaware of the context but when the player sadly passed away having played from hospital during treatment the attacking alliance disputed the players death. Any player in the alliance would understand the deliberate disrespect in the choice of words. I don't know whether members of the players family play but if they do the above cheap shot is openly disrespectful

The original Brian58 would remember me he spent a significant of time trying to hit my castle in fire unsuccessfully largely. The original player would probably also remember I attacked and burnt him more than once in the war Odins ended by asking for peace.

I'd say implying another player needs to be sectioned and has mental health issues is a fairly clear breach of community guidelines. And given you are a Board Moderator whose job entails upholding community guidelines not unreasonable to presume your be speaking to the player and closing the thread. Not an unreasonable request and I'm sure GGE have made a openly stated commitment are keen to ensure that commitment is honoured.

It's not my responsibility as a volunteer player with no access to relevant informations to enforce that people use their original accounts and not give existing accounts away. There is no possible way I could verify your claims, which for all I know could be a complete fabrication. And, I might add, making such accusations could also be considered disrespectful. As always, you may file a report with support if you so wish, that is the only route to deal with that kind of issue.

The original post holds nothing disrespectful from what I can see. This is a war game, if we don't allow posts about war to be made then what is the point of having a forums in the first place? Least of all a section for WAR UPDATES.

I have edited/removed some posts since the original, which is all I'm inclined to do at this point.
