  • What chance does the U.S.server have in defeating Bulgaria? I have seen Bulgaria get 1st place before, but the U.S. server has never gotten anywhere near the top 10. The closest we have ever gotten to top 10 is only 16. We possibly might be able to to do better than France or Lithuania, but Bulgaria would definitely be a challenge vs. the U.S.1 server. If we have any chance at all of defeating them in our grouping I think that we would be very lucky.

One of the interesting things is servers like En1 gained players initially from older servers like Int 1 and Int 2 and a few from US1 then lost players to others servers like US1 and Asia1.  Consequently servers which have players splitting time across multiple servers look to be less competitive compared to some of the more country specific servers or older servers like De1 and Rus1.  Servers like En1 and US1 like Phil123 said both have massive multi accounting and farm issues which in these events are really hurting us.  If you took out the inactive accounts and combine the scores split across multi's account into single account the top 50% would be a lot higher score wise.  If US1, En1, don't ditch the mutlis if server wide comps keep coming we won't have a chance no matter hard the genuine players like Phil try to drag up the rest of us.  Top alliances really need to take the lead now or they and the rest of us will continue to miss out.  But all credit to the German players we are trying and they are way way ahead of us so far.

    Hey @Batten (GB1)

As I have mentioned before I believe, my interpretation of the methods used to calculate the scores in these events is that dead accounts/multis shouldn't really have an effect on the results, as only those who take part in events should be counted towards the averages as far as I understand.

    Hi Ang

Thanks for the response.  I think the problem is a signficant proportion of the multi accounts as Phil suggested are active enough to make a difference on En1 and US 1 they aren't just farms they are actively played at a level that would register. Given inactive accounts don't disappear quickly 50% on a big server would potentially encompass a lot of big accounts.  I think just taking maybe the top two hundred in each of the existing level categories would be worth considering with prize for participation and higher grade prizes for making those top 200 or 150 or however you wish to grade it.

Has been a lot of fun this time.  Good to be able to test ourselves against the best from across the servers.  Shame some alliances haven't considered it worth prioritising as has the potential if developed right to be a good motivator and certainly increased my spend and encouraged me to really go for it.

after 3 days we have just realised that it's better to hit the Khan camps (for alliance rewards) we will do better next time - but top 50 with 30 players is not bad

yes I did understimate it and yes my server didn't to that good but I scored good enough to be 4th on your server while I was 17th on my server with that score , we got pulled down by a lot of players not going ham but congrats to you  :)

Sorry But I don't understand what this Nations Cup is about or where to fight it what the rewards are, where to find out  or how to win.   As a leader of my alliance I think I should be able to.  I tried to find out but must have missed it, somewhere.  Never mind apparently we lost out so hope it never comes back.

  • which group was the UK in? surprised we didn't qualify
  • Batten (GB1)Batten (GB1) GB1 Posts: 1,104
We qualified from the first round Elise behind PL1 (I'm guessing that's Poland1?) which was Berimond and I think ranked 14th overall in terms of score.  Bulgaria and Spain were both really unlucky to go out in the Berimond round as they outscored quite a lot of the qualifying alliances but both placed third in there group.

We faced the DE1 (German server) in round two which wasn't a great draw for us and got off to a slow start on day 1 despite a number of players and alliances really going for it.  We appear to have had a number of players really strong players unavailable due to war which seems to have reduced our score which looks to have been really competitive on day 4 which we look to have won but by that stage we'd already lost the first three days and were too far behind to catch up.  Considering we are limited by a lot of multi-accounts pretty good effort by most players.  We actually managed the fourth highest score and were unlucky to come up against a great effort from the German server their individual scores were very scary in how far ahead they were.  Congratulations to DE1 and thanks for a great contest.  Best of luck in next round and hopefully they'll win it to make us look better.

Both the Greek and Polish server look pretty strong and think Rus 1 might have taken their foot off the gas so reckon they'll be pretty strong in the next round.  They should do interviews with top players about how they are feeling about their prospects that would be fun.  There are definitely some monster accounts out there and difficult to see how you could fix this so have faith in the results which is definitely a nice change.

I do and so do the others who put in an effort on behalf of our server.  More correct to say you don't care might explain why Asia1 did so badly clearly you can't cut it ;)

To be fair neither can En1 but at least we weren't as awful as you and your colleagues lol.  We managed at least one round so should be able to keep or 1 perhaps Asia 1 should be renamed Asia 0 until the next tournament when you'll go out to DE100

I assume the servers on top in each pair are the ones that were projected to win? Considering only 1 server that was on the bottom won?

Sorry if that makes no sense..

Unfortunatly the premise of the tourney itself is somewhat broken, anyone who has played this game for any period of time realises that how many points you can get is massivly determined by how many rubies you spend.  Unfortunatly  the price of rubies is massivly different for different locations.  So for example I can easily set up an account in Brazil and play from there and gain 3 times the amount of points I can on the UK server.   So how is that fair to compare one vs another?

I know people are doing this as the price of the game has become crazy.  And with events like this ie global events all you going to be doing is pushing more and more people to play cheaper servers.  As not only can i Play for a fraction of the price I can also get a load of freebies from global tournies by doing it.  Before you know it all the whales in the game will be playing the cheapest servers, saving themself a fortune and all that will happen is that gge will lose 70% of their income!

Does make for a more interesting result though.  Well done International 1 nice to see them resurgent didn't give them a shot against Poland and didn't think CZ1 would beat Romania either.  Smart money still on DE1 but you just never know.  DE1 do seem a fair way ahead.

We might have a chance Phil if En1 wasn't still riddled with multi's they are holding us all back and costing us now.  Way past time serious action was taken to clear them out.
