Kala and the Apprentice blacksmith or how we got screwed

The recent development by GGE made too much wasted time to players who chose to pursue apprentice blacksmith tokens, in order to complete 9-piece Kala set.
While GGE, driven by good intentions, gave us opportunity to make another Kala set in the festival in August, the decision to do so infact made all players efforts to complete Kala set thru apprentice blacksmith obsolete.

Why?
Although many players had enough time to complete the 9-piece Kala set thru apprentice blacksmith, also many players lost a chance to pursue another 2 commander/castellan sets thru apprentice blacksmith. If anyone knew before apprentice blackmith arrived that Kala will be available thru festival in August, i think that not many players would waste time completing it thru AB. Rather, many would choose to complete other 5-pieces sets like Son of the north or Lady of light, and have 2 sets instead of 1 Kala.

Yet the better screw is for those players who were unable to get all of the 9-pieces of Kala from apprentice blacksmith, and missing 1 or 2 of pieces of Kala. We all know Kala is good only if all pieces are there. Luckily those players will now be able to complete it thru festival. But instead of 2 or 3 complete sets, that players will end up just with 1 comm/castellan set. 

This is exactly what is meant by "The road to hell is paved with good intentions".

    The blacksmith was not sent to allow players to get kala. It was also not sent so players could make brand new sets. It was made be gge so that those players who had took unique gems and moved them around to other sets, thus making those sets more powerful, and then sold the useless other pieces. Since gge nerfed the gems it was part of their attempt at compensation, so that they could get the pieces of the sets they sold back.

    Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven.

    firstly, most people did know that we would get Kala again in the summer. Secondly the point of the blacksmith was not to create new sets but to complete old ones.

    Raggle Fock has a point about completing old sets. Also, some people never had a chance to complete an old set the first time like me. I had only a partial Kala set from the first time around, but was able to complete it this time from the Apprentice Blacksmith. Another thing to point out was that after I had completed my first Kala set getting myself a second daughter of Kala was a really nice bonus, but I of course did not get this until after I completed my first Kala cast. If you already had a bunch of completed sets then the only other point would be to start another set and only then would there be any point to using it on only making a new set instead of working on an old set. Although I was able to a second daughter of Kala hero I was lucky that I was even able to get this especially since this is the last piece of a second part of an entire set. You should obviously get the hardest to get stuff first if you are going to work on starting a new set.

    You should be blessed with the fact that GGE gave you the opportunity to complete your sets and even make complete sets such as kala (when you had zero pieces of it).

    You can complain 'bout it. And I know people will keep doing that, but you have to think about that you can just buy those equipment while others did some really good job, what took a lot of time, to complete those sets. So STOP complaining and go play the game.

    AGREED.  I was able to finish my Son of the North and my Lady of Light.

    Those who didn't have something to complete could have chosen different things to get.  One in my Alliance got the Prince of Thieves Commander.

    As for Kala, is having 2 really a bad thing????


    and YES, you can get the entire Kala Cast in just one Nomads run.  IF you plan for it.............

    I got good use out of the apprentice blacksmith, finished 2 Kalas and now I'll have a 4th
    1 for each kingdom muahah

    What's with everyone acting like completing seasonal is so much work, now? If you have a day to devote, you can do it in less than 24 hours. I know someone who did it in 6 hours and I'm sure there are others with even better times.

    4 hours 5 minutes is my time could have probably did it in 3 if I tried extremely hard and surely there are some that got it in less than half an hour just by spending tablets

    Very nice. My best time is 48 hours, 45 minutes... not too great... But I also had stuff that I had to do that day; I knew I wasn't free when I started...

    Nobby in my Alliance "technically" didn't complete his yet. (He bought the Daughter of Kala from the Apprentice Blacksmith)  But, he did his Nomads run over two days, and is on the last page. 

    I am building up the tools and skips needed to make my run.  Will hit the next Nomads at full speed and show him how it can be done.  ;)



    of course, that could just be because I have no life................

    I did with without 16hr booster though cause I accidentally turned it on day before :(

    Yeah, I am sitting 5 points from my 18 hr boost.  Have to keep reminding myself to NOT hit an FL. I mean BC.........
