Fix BC/FI

Please fix blood crows and foreign invasion.  If you're going to keep giving us these crappy 500 troop "castles" change the reward system from glory based to attack based.  Seriously, there are really 2 easy options to fix this:

option 1: Actually use a better distribution when randomly assigning the target castles. attacking 50+ castles and not seeing 1 above 1k is completely pointless. I realize that a major complaint before was how easy it was to gain glory from these events, but come on. the events should be able to be finished if someone is active enough.

option 2: Change the reward thresholds from glory based to castle victory based. You already essentially do this for the seasonal events, make all castles worth certain amounts of points, and get points from attacking them.  That way someone could grind 500 troop castles to the end, but those who attack stronger castles get more glory out of it.

    Why should they fix it?  Basically all they are doing is insuring a steady income stream.  You have to buy enough banners to make the 4000 glory points for the ice event.  About the only good thing you can say about the BCs and FIs is they are a reasonable source of wood, stone and kingdom resources.

  • you don't have to use any banners for ice event really, just get other stuff higher. The issue isn't with how it interacts with ice event anyways, its how it is organized as a stand alone event. The glory is too random, and its also taking away from the glory of real pvp attacks. they should just switch it over to a system like they use for the seasonal events.

    Sam and Nomad events are basically a per hit competition, since the variability of tokens gained is low and average increases with level. With BC and FL it doesn't work that way. there is high variability the entire way and the variability is much higher.
  • I think this is a great idea. It may allow them to take out the glory from bc/fl as event calculators and not screw over the Alliance Tournament everytime it comes around.

    I concur. Then glory was reserved for PvP. Would mean you actually have to earn your glory titles the hard way. So many players have glory titles that they have no business having, if it wasn't because of easy mode fls and bloodcrows.

  • BCs and WoR have become very boring, every castle has between 450-750 defenders. if we are lucky we get one or 2 castles to attack that rise above. this is just no fun and no challenge. if we analyze the game at present we have very, very easy BC/WoR events. We have nomads and sammies that are played by rote. the variation has all but left and with it the enjoyment of a challenge and the fun of playing.i liked the game better when i took a loss now and then while attacking the BC/WoRs.

    GGE, you need to get back to basics. make this a challenge and fun. winning every time and scoring every time is just not fun, we could play farm frenzy if we wanted to be safe all the time. Fix this or start to lose players to boredom.

  • The invasion events are gges revenue kings we all know that .
    after this last /current bc event is over I wont be doing it  again  . It just isn't worth it  between horrendously low castle numbers and 5-6  failed spy reports in a row  , and disappearing spy reports and a host of other glitches .
    It was always a clone of  foreigners ,and a poor one at that . Best thing gge could do is get rid of it and spend the time and rss into making Foreign invasion better .
    maybe closer to what it was a year ago , bring back some of the lost troops and bonus items that were part of the  5 page package .
    GGe doesn't need to do a great re-make of foreigners  just a slight adjustment to its castle generator , increasing the chances of a stronger castle /higher troop number , just by a few percentage points .
    certainly  a 1 in 5 ratio should be good ( 20%) chance of a strong defended castle is certainly better than the chances now .
    AND YES  I hit bcs and FIs  with vengeance everytime they are out and usually end up in top 20 or there abouts .
    So being complacent isn't an issue .
     Except for this last bc event    after 2 days of grinding  I quit , Not one castle even remotely close to where I could honestly say "now that's a great castle " .

    I can see that you are just salty you cannot get good castles. Even here in Asia, I get about 4-5 castles with 1-2k troops. I've figured out that maybe, the troops you have in your main determine the quality of your castles. This BC, I had 12k soldiers sitting in my main and got two 1.5k castles in the first spies. Making FI/BC castles have more troops will just eliminate PvP more. Your second idea is just sad. Why would you make FI/BC just like Nomads/Samurai?

    You don't need to buy the flags. Completing the event is really easy if you buy the horsetails off nomads and completing the seasonal event is way easier. You just have to time the 2 bonuses correctly.

    If you want something more challenging you can always PvP and get way more glory :wink:

    Yes and no. I'm angry that the last 100ish castles i've hit have all been <2000 (I think a total of 3 that have been 1k-2k.  and I wouldn't be making it like sams/nomads, it would be more like berrimond. You also complain that option 1 takes more away from PVP while ignoring the fact that option 2 would even put less emphasis on glory gaining from BC/FI. I think your understanding may be sad... :'(

    its not that bad, you probably have bad ones cause you dont clear out enough, everyone manages to get glory, how do you think the winners get all there glory, its not just luck...they clear out around 500each time...and in that 500 they will get a decent amount of good ones, all you need to do is clear them out and wait for good ones to spawn
