Event Rewards: Which rewards need to be improved the most?

Everyone loves to receive rewards, but what people really love is to receive good rewards and ones they feel match the effort they have put in.
Seeing as the game has been growing a little more with every update, sometimes content can become outdated and there is not a special exception for event rewards.
To get a better idea of what rewards we should revitalize first, we have created this poll whereby you can vote for said event. Of course we welcome you to be more specific on what exactly should be improved in a reply to this thread.
(10 poll choices is the maximum so this is why we are focusing on the big events, please see this thread to discuss the Alliance Tournament)

Storm Islands - for me is a month long event needing a serious overhaul - removing the "predictable islands spawn" and prizes to reflect the alliance efforts participating - Prizes are very outdated and of poor value compared to the more recent events.

Underworld dosen't seem too bad cause of cave troops.
Takes hours of sitting and hitting to reach the final prize especially towards the end Prices take 8-9k to gain , should be more regular
But personally, i believe alot of event rewards are outdated.
First one is foreigners.
yeah, i liked the new personal rewards, but it too litttle lol.
I would like them to go to 1 mill atleast.
663k is 1 good hit.
Secondly is Nomad invasion, commander/cast set is terrible. Deco isnt the best, but nvm. Horsetails and troops are nice.
Thirdly is storm islands. Like others have said, takes 1 month, loads of skips and troops to get... 4 sucky unique items.
1 sucky deco, and if you really want it, titles.
Items need to be updated, only worth it thing for storm is to recruit troops/ make coins/ make dummy peasants.
Fourthly is thorn king and underworld..
Rewards kind of suck, deco is way overpriced for the PO. Takes many hits, whereas nomads take only a few with less losses.
Also the equipment sucks in there aswell..
Im not saying to make the equipment really strong. But an improvement is in order.
Storm, thorn, underworld and whatever the last copy/paste event is called (edit: blade coast), they all need an update too. No reason whatsoever to participate in them.
That commander / castle lord you get from Berimond Invasion - useless.
Only decent thing about this event is 11-stone (courtyard) for top5. But still.. It takes a lot of effort to be in top5.
Battle for berimond is not really outdated, but the rewards are just wrong.
A few months ago i loved berimond for it's nice deco by 3000 and 10000 points, which are relative easy to get. There gone now and the goal that you had for berimond disappeared. It's making it less fun...
On the other hand I agree that storm is outdated too, but I really want that change in Berimond undone and get that deco back
I think the Berimond rewards are better than what they were, apart from the missing decorations. I don't really mind that the top decoration was cut down from 2 to 1 but it woud be nice to see the 10k decoration put back in there. As for the other changes, the material bags are a huge boost every time the Berimond event comes round.
Biggest thing you guys need to look at is GE/EW/BS/FP towers to make them relevant long term for players beyond feeding yourself every so often..... ATM, they are more outdated than anythign else. You can get leg reso through events like crazy so their is 0 incentive to farming your towers properly. I would prefer if you guys looked long term when looking at the game instead of throwing a bandaid on a few events to give people some more shinny deco's etc
HUGE thing these days is the build items through construction yard.
Their has to be a way people can farm for these CONSTANTLY instead of just buying them in nomads/sammys. These are the only 2 events where these are accessible at the moment and it really is s*** planning on GGE's behalf. We were told you would be able to "RUBY BUY" the base items only etc etc and you would have to loot for the others so that it would be balanced..... Reality is you can ruby buy these common sand/brick sets 25/8. You need to be able to loot them constantly in all events to even the playing field, atm its only 2 events. it is an absolutly s***set up.
TBH, NPC's should drop some sand/bricks etc per hit randomly. Make it so you only get:
* 1-2 sand/bricks for lvl20-50 NPC's (Base GE up to under max EW). Randomly drop some flint.
* 3-4 sand/bricks for lvl 51-60 NPC's. (Max EW up to just under max BS). Randomly drop some resin.
* 4-6 sand for lvl 61-72 NPC's (BS to FP). Randomly drop some soul stone.
* 6-10 sand/bricks for 73-81 NPC's (People who have maxed or high lvl GE towers, gives a good reward for hitting them) Drop at least one flint/resin/soulstone with every hit, sometimes more.
This bracket system would exclude the 82+ sammy/nomad camps but you are still able to gain them buy using tokens in the shop.... Would also reward people a huge amount amount for GE towers and make them relevant again. ATM, they are a waste of time, lets be honest.
Underworld / thorn / blade / storm sets mix and match for some niceish 90/90's..... Reality is you can't delete what is already their because alot of us already use them all on different sets.
There should be an updated set for the underworld/thorn/blade events that requires you to do all three to get the bits, make it a 6 peice set with a look item that lasts a month and adds a bonus ?? IMO this would be a big improvement to these three & require you to do them every month that they came around to get the look item, would have to make it so the look item was the most expensive bit. Lets say on average the set pieces cost 5-6k tokens etc each. Make it so the look item that lasts a month for this commander set costs 150% of the average price, IE: 7.5-9k tokens looted to obtain the look item.

If you dont update stuff with a LONG TERM view you have failed before you have even begun here. Not being negative, just trying to be constructive. For any update to work, has to be a long term update otherwise it will become useless with the next update you guys bring out. Like all the events are at the moment.....

I do agree with most of what I have read in this thread, though.
Underworld, Blade Coast, and Thorn King also definitely need improvements.

Storm Islands definitely needs some re-working. I'm not entirely sure what exactly would be best, but I do think the intent was for PvP to happen, and for islands to change hands. Predictable islands and universal agreements make that much harder. Maybe, it could have some similar changes to what Berimond received. A specific type of troop that is only valid there, etc. Remove honor losses and give everyone the effects of a level 5 watchtower, level 8 bakery, etc. Remove them from the build list. Leave the harbour as something people can pay rubies for, maybe drill ground and construction crane too. Change the algorithm for unpredictable respawns. Give towers more variety. Maybe have bonus glory or earn gallantry or something to encourage more participation. Even the 1st place rewards need changes, really. Most of the buffs offered are useless. None of the debuffs hurt enough to care about them. The PO reward is a joke. I don't have anywhere to put those now. If it's not 300+ it's not worth my efforts. The equipment... I think it's obvious a new set needs to be made. One of those 9 piece sets, but not as good (as crow) of course. Gives 90/90 and some courtyard with the gems, but needs to be fully techd for things like moat, wall, flank and glory. Or whatever combination. The cast would have to be equally good. Could even have it so it takes finishing top 5 in multiple events before you can complete the sets. People would probably hate that part of the suggestion, but come on. This is GGE. They didn't need me to put that idea in their head. lol
Maybe then people might fight over stuff. I don't know. It would at least make it more fun for people, either way. In my opinion, anyways. Just a quick thought at the end of a long day, though.
I also strongly agree with J*6sk about Rbc loot needing updating. The only reason I loot them at all anymore is food and the hope of skips. Sams and Nomads and Berimond are way better for coin, gear is pretty useless compared to event gear.As nice as level3 gem of the homecomer is, (speaking of useless...can these get some work? Absolutely no purpose now with the maps.) I think I'd rather have a bit of bricks or some sand, lol.
Blade Coast/Thorn King have nice bits of gear but again...gets wrecked by event gear. Reality is, aside from the money commanders and the royal city commander and probably the bloodcrow, foreigner commander is where it's at...and it's raining those pieces for active folks. Decos are outdated, troops you buy there eat too much and really, just not worth it once you're 70. (Except assassins, but even then, that's a whole lot of work for a couple speedy dudes.)
I like the idea of being able to purchase look items from BC/UW/TK type events, Or maybe let us purchase the random brick/sand bags with them. Right now, there's no point in doing these events for anyone capable of doing foreigners. Even the decos from finishing the event are low PO compared to sams decos and/or event wins. Some people do it for the underworld fatty troops or assassins, but that's a very few people.
I'm torn on wanting an update on BC/TK, etc tbh. Sometimes this game feels like a job as it is, and I can currently ignore those events, lol.
But the spawning of aqua islands needs a bit of reworking to make it more competitive too; randomise the re-spawn time and locations within the grid would be a great start.
That's pretty much all that needs to be done - some of the equipment could come from alliance tally/ranking prizes and some from personal purchases with pre-70 and 70s having access to the same equipment.
