I wrote this on my Ipad, as my computer and laptops were down for updates. The stupid autocorrect kept correcting "Forumer" to "former" so I had to write it with two "m"s.

Concerning the issue of who gets to be on the list, I must admit that I too would have liked people such as fuji to be included. Questions of "who was the best forumer of 2014" will always be difficult, as they require us not only to critique each other, but also to argue using only our subjective impressions of people. And how can we pick just one, or even a handful of people, to represent the best of us, when there where so many who deserve recognition?
In a community like ours, that lives on the internet and consists solely of the conversations and relations between people, it becomes very difficult to distinguish between the success of an individual and the success of the group, because every conversation involves more than one person.
What I'm getting at is that what Raymond did by creating such a list was extremely difficult, and inevitably included a large element of subjectivity. That subjectivity does make the list fundamentally incomplete (especially if you want it to be of a reasonable length), but as one of the most experienced and active members of the forums (both in serious and in fun n' games sections of the forum), I honestly can't think of anybody who could have made a better list.
PS As for to whom my vote is going, that's a private matter.
