Hey, this is just a link to an interesting video I saw a while back on youtube that I feel has a lot to say about the general nature of this game. I post it merely to promote discussion and conversation, although I am unfortunately currently too busy to say anything to it myself.
It was made by Extra Credits, an excellent youtube channel created by professional game designers and dedicated to explaining and analyzing different concepts in games. It was originally part of the Escapist Magazine, although it has since split off from that establishment. Personally, I have found their content to be of extraordinary value in informing my opinions on games in general and here on the forums in particular.
Regards,

-Triangle

Urghhh... I can't watch that. It reminds me of spirit science and I'm betting it's about as supported

Well, perhaps them being spirit scientists would explain some of the nutty decisions the games industry has made over the years. However, spirit scientists or not, if it does turn out that you could somehow endure watching the video for the full seven minutes of it's length, you might actually find it to be quite rewarding. I can testify that these are indeed professionals in the field of game design with full educations and many years experience working in the industry, and that I have personally found their (admittedly somewhat generalized) videos to be quite informative. I hope that that would make their opinions at least somewhat supported in the eyes of your fastidious criteria, and that next time, you at least take the time to look at the materials before betting on it's accuracy.

If you do actually seriously doubt the credibility of the materials shown and want to know who made it, I suggest googling the name "James Portnow", or going to:http://news.digipen.edu/academics/the-many-roles-of-james-portnow/#.VH1Ay61dVpY
That article gives a fairly good overview.

Okay. Maybe I was a little hasty based just on the presentation (but trust me, check out a youtube channel called "spirit science" ... you'll see the similarity immediately and why I jumped to conclusions.) I will force myself to watch it just to be fair and I'll get back to you. Sound good?

hmm... These videos look perfectly reasonable. I mean, they have sources, and use big words like "gravity" and "push". At least they inform their opinions using valid scientific...

Yea, I see what you mean. Nutters with animation software.

Very informative, Triangle... And very thought-provoking, as always. It does explain a lot in a short amount of time, and left me with one nagging desire....... I WANT ONE OF THOSE MONEY BOMBS, TOO!!! :D

Seriously, if you skipped watching the video, watch it, it is well worth the time. Tho be forewarned: he does talk quite fast in the video, it may be beneficial to watch it twice.

Yep, the one by extra credits was very similar to spirit science (if only the mouth moved SS solved the problem by not drawing the mouth).
