Storm Islands, Resource Islands Unbeatable!

Well, I tried to take the stone outpost... About a week of logging into Empire again and again and again as many times a day as possible, just to keep barracks busy, down the drain... The enemy troops respawn instantly. I'm not so lucky.

Are the storm natives unbeatable or what? No wonder most of the resource islands around me are unoccupied...

EDIT: The forum isn't letting me upload a screenshot for some reason. I sent 134 veteran macemen and 134 veteran crossbowmen for a total of 268 troops. The enemy had 174 troops total, of which I killed 118. I sent 64 soldiers to each of the flanks (the max for 1 wave) and 140 troops to the center. 20 ladders in each of the flanks and 50 battering rams in the center. The enemy had only 56 troops in the center, and still managed to kill all 140 of mine there.

    Use 1 wave full ranged troops with gd ranged commander with mantlets Iron if u can

    They have bonuses that boosted troop strength. You didn't negate them.

    You will get crushed if you do that. There are still wall (and moat I think) along with gate bonuses.

    GGE is always trying to get players to buy rubies, and to do that, comes up with horrible updates. Put this in your siggy if you agree.

    In storm mantlets (preferably iron) are key. And Billy I hate to disagree with you but I've been taking out resource islands for the last 2 months using nothing but vet crossbows and iron mantlets, I've even snagged a few aqua islands using that combination.

    Really? When I tried there were wall and gate bonuses. Can I see a battle report?

    Alright here is a guide to Stormy.

    Don't go after the 8 hour wood/stone RI. They take ruby tools. For the 4 hour res islands you will need the following
    Ranged troops
    60 mantlets
    24 ladders
    8 rams and a ranged comander

    Send 1 troop on each flank in each of the first 3 waves to clear out the enemy's tools. Then in the fourth wave send the ranged troops with 20 mantlers and 8 ladders on each flank. and obviously 8 rams in the middle.
    You will win the battle loosing about 20-40 troops depending on how many troops you sent and your comander

    And for aqua islands its all the same no matter which type.
    You will need 81 iron mantlets
    24 ladders
    and 8 rams

    You cant use dummie waves on this one because the defenders have more then 4 tools per slot.

    So in the first wave just sent 27 iron mantlets and 10 ladders along with your ranged troops on each flank.
