Construction crane

I spent real money to buy rubies just to get a 'construction crane' so I could build more than one thing at a time. The construction crane was built and DID allow me to build two things at once for the first day. When I logged back on today, all the construction crane seemed to do is to que up a second construction job, but NOT start building it until the first job was over.
On the info of the construction crane is says, "Unlocks an additional construction slot in this castle." It does not say for only one day!
I have written to support, but have not received an answer yet.

What is the story here? Is this a glitch??

    what it did on the first day was not what is was supposed to be doing, all it allows you to do is to que up an extra building, not build multiple things at once

    it might have been a display glitch the first day, it's not supposed to build two structures at the same time.

    But if that is the case, and it does NOT allow me to build two things at once, then the wording of the construction crane is NOT correct. It does NOT say it allows for queing! It says it "unlocks an additional construction slot". I am going to ask for my money back and then stop playing this game if the owners do not understand English. Words and their usage have precise meanings, and in this case, the advertised benefits ( at 4 or 5 THOUSAND rubies) no where equals the cost.

    Hi guidosando2,

    This isn't a case of not understanding English, it is more a case of not understanding how the construction slots work. The crane does unlock an extra construction slot, just as it said it would. It has always been the case that the slots only allow you to queue buildings, not build more than one at once.

    It's actually pretty good.

    Let's say you have no crane and you're building a 10 hour building. You log off, and log on again after 24 hours. You have one building finished.

    Let's say you have a level 1 crane. You log on after 24 hours, you have 2 buildings done.

    And I'm guessing it's real nice when the Architect comes around.

    How was he meant to realise it? The description is misleading.

    A lot of things in this game are misleading or set up to trick you in to spending rubies with absolutelly no benifit. A few examples: you log on and there are buildings on fire. You click repair and didn't notice that your construction slot is still busy. You get a popup screen with a notification and the default action (the green button) is to finish your ongoing construction with rubies. So unless you click the red 'x' on the top right of that popup screen, your ongoing construction is being completed with rubies. Fishy to say the least.
    Second example: the default maximum for constructing siegeweapons is 5, unless it's siege you buy with rubies. That maximum is 99. This is no less than a trap.
    Now, since Goodgame is not going to fix these ruby-traps, I fixed them myself. I no longer buy rubies. That way I can no longer accidentaly spend them on crap that I don't need.

    it allows you to open a new construction slot as you can see during recruitment.

    But it never say parallel construction slots, It is always in queue.

    I dont know how long you playing this game, But initially there was no concept of construction cairn and during that time we have to buy additional slot with rubies directly. And during those days also it queues the things.
