  Not entirely sure what you are trying to say, but I'll guess. Wall and gate protection increase the power of troops that are defending in that specific part of the wall. You can increase it by placing defensive tools, upgrading your wall & gate, and using equipment on castellans. As an attacker, you need to bring the defenders wall & gate protection as low as you can (preferably 0%) to make the fight easier. Add tools and commander bonuses to bring them down. Almost forgot; wall bonus applies on all three sides, but gate only in the middle, where the two are added together.
