    i think if you don't fix it by tomorrow you need to boost the security on your servers.... and examine if your firewalls work correctly.... coz you have made a lot of people angry

    Yet with the energy expended arguing here, you just could have pinned a sticky with the rationale for the update.

    I still don't understand why either of us has to try so hard to arrive at a clear and accessible answer to a pretty simple question, but have it your way. If GGE doesn't want to make their reasons utterly obvious, people will just have to continue inventing their own, none of which are very flattering to GGE.

    Exactly, Mal. Couldn't take any longer to make a sticky post than to stand around haggling with us. I'm sure it's better to have players convincing each other of GGE's corporate evil than to just say what the thinking is behind it.

    Why do you not spend your time developing a way to enforce your own rules, rather than developing these useless updates. I refer to your rules against multi accounts, that is starting to run rampant in our area.

    If you cannot handle the amount of posts in this thread, maybe they need to hire more of you to keep up.

    I cannot believe you're going to force feed us this crock of bologna. Imagine the amount of players that are dissatisfied with this update, and haven't taken the time to come here and post. You're digging your own graves, GGS, here's a shovel.

    Just really want to say big thanks for GGS this is a true thrill to log in to. After 126 pages you'd think they'd consider their community, but then, we aren't a community, are we? So thanks for reminding me of that also.

    So now that you've done this, please put system messages and player messages on different tabs. I need to be able to get to actual player messages and as you can see, I am clogged up with rubbish as a result of people... you know... trying to play the flippin' game.

    Studies across a number of industries have revealed that the cost of keeping an existing customer is around 10% of the cost of acquiring a new one. So, economically it makes pretty good sense. Putting together a good retention strategy will also lead to increased customer profitability, as the longer the relationship, the lower the account maintenance cost.
    GGS has forgotten this. Keeping customers happy mean's that actions speak louder than words. Your actions show that you have absolutely no regard for your customers.
    I am saddened to see this as I have enjoyed this game. But I can no longer justify the time and money spent to play.

    theirs no reason why that would be information would have to be withheld against us.
    Is it that you're not allowed to answer that, or you just don't know how to?
    Cause we don't mind, if you don't, you're not gods to us or super beings of any kind, if you can't answer cause you don't know how then no harm done. :D

    When these changes don't work out, are they ever changed?
    Because they never seem to be, although I'll let that slide as I haven't been playing again for too long, a years worth of updates, I could have missed anything.

    I have already quit playing! I knew this was going to happen! You see the posts from people who are already in an unwanted war just from doing daily tasks. We the consumers have posted our disgust of these updates and why we want the updates, that we want them disabled. This is why I quit playing, why I disbanded my alliance! This realism is not how it really was in those times. The people who came up with this update are clouded in their vision. I know you want to make money, but do you have to do it at the expense of your customer base. I have ideas or constructive comment about this update. Why? Because I never wanted this update to happen, neither did everyone else who has protested against it. GGE/GGS you really don't care what you do as long it benefits you and your wallet.

    GGE will be Losing many of its Players if they DON'T TAKE ACTION AGAINST THIS STUPID UPDATE.

    the new update is not worthy we end up fighting war with small alliances...and finally ends with 0 resources from both the sides.

    Sometimes GGS the best thing to do is put your hand up and say "hey, we got it wrong. sorry". Even if this is (for the first time ever) a closely simulated, well thought through, update the people who define whether something is good/bad for your game are those who use it. Sentiment is everything and you passed the point where you had any basis for continuing with this update days ago. To summarise:- You've broken your game - no-one's attacking; you've broken your business model - no-one's buying; and worst of all you've broken the trust of your customers. So it really doesn't matter to me what percentage bonus you offer, why would I buy? I can't attack anyone, so what would I spend rubies on?

    Please, time to man-up (or women-up) and find a way to unpick the situation. If this is just about developers insisting that this update will work, it won't, revoke it. They need to understand the way power and rationality operate as much as they know code, and clearly they don't. If this is about the viability of the game, then get someone with credibility to explain this. Unfortunately the longer this goes on the more credibility drains away from the moderators and managers we know. Personally - and I have long experience of such situations - I'd say you're going to need someone senior to explain things. I'd even go so far to say that you need to get the CEO Dr. Kai Wawrzinek to intervene if you are going to repair the situation. (I promise I'm not trying to throw my weight around, just trying to offer a way forward).

    Actually, I think GGS has hired all the excavating equipment in Europe on this one. This update is rubbish we as your customers are saying remove/revoke it and let us get on with playing please. If not it will be a farwell from me very soon
