    Hey Ethan,
    Do you personally play this game? If you do maybe you should send an attack or failed sabotage! Maybe you need to see for yourself what will happen. Maybe you should join a massively large alliance and all your members send an attack to different alliances. If you the play the game yourself, then you will understand why we want the updates removed. You really cannot promote this update if you yourself do not play the game. I personally would never promote something I personally have not tried myself, it's bad business. Maybe having a select amount of players test out a new update might be a better option than just creating one and pushing it through. A players feedback is possibly the best way to handle future updates, whether they go through or get scrapped.
    After all at the end of the day no matter what country your in "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT". Since GGs's prime focus is ruby buyers the game should be open only to people who will spend $$ to play, never called a free to play game ( because its not free to play Technically), and should be listed as an adult only game (kids cannot buy rubies). This is what I suggest should be done.
    Oh and when you play and send an attack and see the mess it will cause, then tell us how great the update is!

    This is a dumb update!!

    I just got attacked by the second biggest alliance on the server, and now we're at war!!!!! -_-

    Dear Ethan & Steve

    I understand that you are just doing what your role entails and you do not have the rank or responsibility to implement any changes. However I would like to have this major customer complaint about this unfair update sorted. We your consumers (paying consumers) have rights under the many consumer acts in the many countries you operate to complain if we have the service we have paid for changed without offer of refund (of all the monies we have spent whilst gaming) You have changed what we were happy to pay for, it is now not the same game we subscribed to or spent money on.

    Please post an email or postal address for your customer service department as required by consumer rights in that way we can complain about this appalling update to the people who do make the decisions. (I will take a screenshot of this post once posted to prove that I have done everything possible to resolve an outcome because chances are I will have it deleted or be banned for this post)

    You guys better re-vamp the alliance chronicle quickly. It won't be big enough to hold 5 messages for every war start and end.

    I still think the better way to go is to have a status of "hostile" which is a bit less than "war" but signals an aggressive action was taken.

    I find this new update so ridiculous
    It is all money of Highway
    This game is now with this update just leave piece
    war not only all that you get when you with another aliance
    war gets you post flows also box about where you also lose main mails!!!!
    This has fabricated certainly had nothing better to do
    It is a reduction of the game
    and if this update so remains
    then we will have to go to another game search!!!
    and what deserves good game hardly more than what and that's a fact
    If they have nothing to do there they can all the server forward the air
    because this is not a enjoyable play more

    Has per other consumer rights post please provide details of where complaints can be sent, this is a requirement by most countries consumer laws!

    I draw your attention to point 1.4 of our terms and conditions which state -
    The online and mobile games as well as the additional range of services are continuously being developed, updated and adjusted further by Goodgame Studios. Thus, users are merely participating in the respective online and mobile games or additional offers in their respective version provided at any given time.

    I would also like to point out that if you spent money to purchase rubies then you did infact purchase rubies to use as a virtual currency. Nothing here has changed concerning those rubies and therefore the product you purchased has not changed.

    I don't really think you could/should be comparing this update to anything else that's ever been implemented by GGS in the past. The sheer amount of negativity of this particular update is astounding. It's an unprecedented response in GGE history.

    Again, Ethan it is obvious that you are personally not ignoring us. There's been a lot of inappropriate (racist at times) comments posted here as well which of course, you need to delete and people need to get that as well. It certainly doesn't help our cause either.

    However, if I was in the position at GGS to take the decision to suspend an update due to an unprecedented level of negative feedback, I truly would - for the sake of the company I worked for. Whilst you're not ignoring us, it certainly feels as if the rest of GGS is, simply because they've steamrolled ahead with this update.

    for our alliance this maens the end of the game for us
    we are having war with one of the biggest alliance now and the are not for reasening they just want war for fun becaulse they can easely burn us down to the ground

    LOL...GGS stinks. Players are quitting in droves, and the ruby boycott is being held to. Obviously, the only thing GGS cares about is the profits. They have totally shot themselves in the foot. Our 2 best players, big ruby buyers quit. Is this the marketing strategy GGS has come up with? To alienate your best customers and have them spend their money elsewhere? A radical departure from your average business plan, for sure, but a most unwise and arrogant one too. Good luck GGS, you will reap what you have sown, by disrespecting and margainilising your customers, you are dooming yourself.

    I have traditionally been a very active Ruby player. I do not blame GGS for wanting to make more money through ruby purchase. They are a company that makes games for profit. With that said, I think this is going to achieve the opposite. You have a handful of mega alliances that can dominate medium to small alliances with little or no effort. The result is a lot of these guys will quit (Me included). The way to make more money is to even the playing field and give everyone a fighting chance. Create tournaments that entice players to battle it out.

    At first I thought the Storm Islands was what I was waiting for, but even there, everything is geared to the mega alliances. My Alliance can make the first goal and that is it, No shot at ever getting the top prize. I hate to see this update as I think it is going to kill the game. For now, I am just maxing out defense and as soon as one of the mega alliances demand tribute, my Castle is going to ruin and I am not looking back.

    I am a new player, and I have purchased $20.00 worth of rubies. Then I learn of this rule change. I understand tweeking the game but such a massive change in the rules is unfair to someone who join with one set of rules and then huge change. I WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK. NO MORE RUBY PURCHASES FOR ME.

    You are letting others make demands for payment to stop a war, Also, you are collecting a transfer fee for each war payment. In essence Goodgames Empire is " setting up betting" on an outcome of a battle then collecting a fee from the loser and or winner. IE: Gambling... Would you like me to translate it from the dictionary sir?

    GGE writers or managers that autowar decloration and tribute demand is stupid. if you were going to postpone it, then it didn't happen. the player your customers were happy with the game before this stupid update which has gone threw. my question to you is what is more important happy customers or rules that my seem challenge that really aren't.

    Automatic Declaration of War
    •If a member of an Alliance attacks a member of another Alliance, or fails a sabotage attempt, a state of war will automatically be triggered between the two alliances.
    •All members of the alliances involved will be notified of the declaration of war via in-game message.

    for so many reason it shouldn't be done mostly its a affront to all members of every alliance
    I can't think of a better way to ruin this game than this update ( your words gge, I call it a downgrade)
    I will not attack anyone because of this autowar,, nor will I buy any rubies while this obscenity continues

    Very valid point and a rigged competition too being that bigger alliances are offered better equipment direct to make the outcome even more certain! Add this to the Roulette Wheel (Oh Sorry Wheel Of Fortune) that minors can gamble real money on and things look very dodgy from a legal point of view

    Well my castle has changed with this update its burning wasn't when I brought it must be faulty goods
