Restrictive language inconsistencies

Hi game developers,
Just wondering if we can address the inconsistencies in the restrictions on language use.
It appears that I can't use characters like ( and ) and the word "skills" in emails between players.
Yet players can name their castles things like Sexy Moze or Knight Semen(something).
I understand in the interest of protecting younger players from adult language and to ensure a little bit of decorum in discussions, but guys it is very inconsistent.
I also understand that no system will be perfect but I think the processes you have in place currently need to be reviewed.

    I agree. It makes no sense. First, if they can put laungige restrictions on messages, why can't they put it on the chat and the castle names? Second, why are web addresses banned as bad lauguiges? I understand a potentioal spamming problems, and have had them myslef, but they still go on. All you have to do is insert a space into the web adress and it works. And why is the work "skill" banned. So, it has kill in it, which leads us to why kill is banned. Why in the world would you ban the word "Kill" in a game about war and killing? If you don't want to hear the word "kill", then stop playing the games. Furthermore, if someone says something like "I am going to kill you.', why be afraid. Unless you are a complete idiot and gave them you adress or something, then they cannot kill you, if they ment it literly. So why , in this era of technological developments, why cannot they develop and better launginge control program?

    yes. we definitely need an improved language filter. a way to ensure skill isn't blocked, to fix 1 problem, is to change the code that stops kill to stop space kill space, then if the word kill has no spaces around it, it won't get blocked and the word skill is useable.

    Some of the restrictions they have are just messed, and then some of the restrictions they don't have are messed.. I seriously think they should look into it.

    i agree the hole thing needs to be fixed up i can't say the word skill but people have said bad words at me all they have to do is put spaces

    the language filter has literally at least a dozen loopholes. there is no point to it, other than annoying people who try to write words like skill.

    What they need is a "smarter" laugige filter. They should add it to the chat and player and castle names, and fix it so there are no loopholes. All it requres is a few more pieces of code that ban this like inserting @ and ! in place of letters in swearwords.

    It has been bugging me for the whole time i have been playing. I'm not a great speller so why not have a spell check instead so it can correct my mistakes and if a full word is swearing remove it

    And the funny thing is, ass is allowed to be sent.. But if you want to take action, send that to support with a screenshot, and hopefully they will take the appropriate action.

    "Kill" is what is being prohibited, whether on its own or within "skill," etc. Easy to use a capital "i" for one or both lower-case "L"s in the word and thus the message will go through.

    And some of you need practice using the 'shift' key to make capital letters anyway. :p

    Yeah the filter is really messed up. You would not believe some of the player and castle names people get away with.

    Ask Preasentya about this, we made a list of words you can and cant say, gotta say my msg box was pretty crazy that day.

    Just type your messages into a word procceser and spell check it, that's what I do, then copy and paste.

    Don't forget you can't use brackets. I remember using ( by the way ) - and then it told me I couldn't send the message because of foul language "()". Defeats the purpose if you're turning ( by the way ) into (). I had no idea you could resemble a human body part with brackets until GGE showed me.

    They really ought to let you type kill and skill. They're both very relevant to the game.

    One other thing that bugs me is when it tells you to avoid bad language but doesn't tell you what word it doesn't approve of. I don't use bad language and often can't figure out what the problem word is.

    My typing speed has also improved by playing this game. i am also using more fingers to type!!

    For long messages that is what i do. for shorter messages though i just wing it and hope the other person understands me!!
