    10/10 (srs), wow didn't realize you have gone so much in game and IRL. Hope you don't leave, but if you do, all the best for you IRL. Depression and drinking is a bitch, IMHO, hope you can overcome it ASAP.

    I think this is honestly one of the best posts I've ever read in the forum. Most are stupid and pointless. I understand your pain, but I've found a good alliance now and am content.

    We lose good players every day. When wars break out, and there is no end in site; people get frustrated and ask "why am i spending real cash on this game?"

    The thing I like the most about the game (and I've been playing for over a year now) is the comradery among players. You will always have the mean players, or the very young players, or just the stupid players; but if you play long enough you learn to ignore them (or burn them...he he).

    When I speak with someone wanting to quit the game, I recommend they go "under the bird" for 30 days or more if needed before deciding to quit. As TS (The Syndicate) lost their capital, metros and towers; and players began to leave or quit the game, I also chose to quit. I gave away my outposts and resource villages, and would log on about once a week for a month to put out a few fires.

    I found I missed the game and the friends I've made in the game. Some of them are great friends and we've shared email and facebook information. I've been slowly rebuilding new outposts and capturing new resource villages. I don't think I'll quit the game again (for a long time anyway), but if I feel I'm getting angry or frustrated I will certainly take another break and go under protection. Everyone needs a break now and then.

    Wow, im at a loss for words... Great post eric, i too had emotional times while playing this game and all i can say is, i feel you bro :)

    wow,Eric.i found this very inspirational. the first day i got on the forum, i red several of your posts and you have given great advice to all of these players. as a lvl 8 player, i hope i can become like you.though you dont know me,i just wanted to take the time to show how much i appriciate (not sure if i spelled tht right,lol) what you do for us.

    Just saw this now, and you are completely, utterly, truly correct... I have wrote other things in my spare time or during my lows, and they have most definitely helped even when no one has read them. This was the first thing I have shared.

    I doubt that, I think everyone has an interesting story to tell, or something that would catch the attention of others. Unless you have sat on the border of the map and gone under protection for a year, I am sure you would have an interesting or meaningful item to share. Whether it by real life or in game.

    Sorry to hear you went through all of that, I have a somewhat similer story and have been around for a long time. i remember when a lot of those events except for the earliest ones were going down, i think of that time before there were the huge alliance families that there are now as the golden days, when things were what seemed like their best

    Never would have thought you have been through all of that without seeing this thread, amazing the stories people can tell about life or a game or both.

    Wow!!! I am glad I read this. As I too have had similar issues in the game. I played for awhile back in 2013, got angry about some mean players and quit. I am playing again have been back in the game only a month and have already encountered another mean player!! I really like this game, everything about it, yet I get so mad. I will take your words to heart and try really hard to remember this is just a game!!! Ironically this is what I tell other players who get mad, yet I seem to lose it when it comes to me. Need to work on that badly!!! I hope you stay in the game, it is alot of fun!! Thank you for sharing!!!
