Alliance Squads

In an alliance, I have got a good idea. Squads, you can give them names like Elite squad, Attack squad... They are like mini-alliances, they get their own chat and the leader and generals can give them objectives. The leader can send them to attack specific players, invest an amount of resources, find members...
In a squad you can get one Squad Captain, and the rest follow his orders.
The leader of the alliance can upgrade these squads with all the bonuses. The squad can borrow each others spies too. The squad captain can make special rapports, where he writes all the things that are happening in the squad: members that are too much offline, members that participate allot...

    Maybe it's a good idea if the squads can have flags

    I'm guessing that GGS would not see this as a compelling thing to have, and wouldn't choose to devote time and effort toward implementing it.

    In another game I played (Travian) we made our own sub-groups or squads (in fact the Alliance name was MDS or 'Mongol Death Squads'), and had individual message boards for each group, but this is something that's very easy to do with modern, free message boards, not anything on the game server itself.

    its not confusing atall, maybe you can only have squads once your alliance is level 5+
