Siege Weapons

Why are the only offensive weapons/tools offered at the Siege Workshop RAMS? Why can we not acquire Catapults, Ballistas, and Trebuchets? These were continually used in the period we are engaged in. Further these weapons can also be used in a defensive mode.

We have enough siege weapons now, and unless we make a new thing like the wall and the moat then there is no need as we already have 3 versions of each tool and that takes down wall, range, or moat protection. There is no need for new siege tools.

The thing is, the fight is at the walls. How will a catapult be put at the walls? Or will it ranged bonus? Even then, not very logical.

perhaps a catapult be very expensive and be able to directly cause damage to the solders in the keep, while the soldiers fight it out at the wall.

To all the replies: All three of the items I have suggested were used in both defense and offense throughout the middle ages. further with the exception of the trebuchet, they were employed in the Roman and Greek armies. All three can cause great damage to walls, buildings, and people.

Good points, yes. But if you think about it, right now a fight at the wall happens. So the defending troops hold their position and fight. The trebuchet at the time you talking about was used as long range attack, not at the wall. So the defenders on the wall would need to come off of the wall and go stop the trebuchet, and then come back and defend the next wave.

That is how I look at it, as it conflicts with the current setup of "the fight on the wall." I don't dislike your idea, but it would be changing the whole setup of how it runs right now.
