Contact an alliance that looks down on RV stealing. Oh, and don't bump up posts from March.

the game needs to install a lot of new resource villages in sands and fire peaks.! new players who open their sands or fire kingdom are not able to get resource villages at all.! all the villages are already occupied by bigger alliances.! how are we supposed to get the villages then?

Oh? So explain to me how I have 2 RVs in sand, and two of my friends in my alliance have 5-8 RVs in sand? We are newbies to sand...

well I can say that RV's in the sands and Fire peaks are a pain. Its a case of the ones that have getting strong and the rest picking up the left overs if they are lucky. Not enough food to base a force to attack and not enough food to have a decent defence. Add to the mix the fact that the strong then decided to attack you to steal what little you have and to top it off its always between 0000 and 0600, and the majority of these people are from what I would call strong alliance, then it a little bit of an up hill struggle. I hear all the arguments and the suck it up and deal with it stuff but I can see why a lot people just give up. When all is said and done its a game but a game needs to have appeal all round, if all parties do not get fun out of it because its now to lopsided then it simple you end up with not enough players. You only have to look in the last 3 days in the sands we have had at least 3 sets of RV's spawn out of 16 attempts I get zero and I was at the start for at least 2 of the spawns. The same groups of people get them time after time with one or two different people on occasion. I have stables at max I have troop speed at max including veterans, I am closer in most cases by at least half the distance.

So why is it I am always beaten to them I can understand losing some I have watched some and my troops have not even gone 1/4 the distances before they change. Does the alliance provide a speed boost to players capturing RV's I do not know. All I can say is I can see why people have a problem with RV's on some servers and it is a stumbling block because I can do without the resources but I need the food for defence at least so that when people with no life attack me in the night when I need to sleep at least I can stand a bit of a chance and I need enough to be able to attack the towers to gain money to grow as well.

    You capture them.

i thought everybody says no to stealing them cuz it causes too much fuss, or its a players rule or something
anyway my alliance doesnt let us take them cuz of all the fuss it causes so how can i get them?

Sounds like you may be attacking the wrong way.

Do you use tools when attacking? These are not required and only slow down your army. You can also add commander speed to the mix, +80% being the fastest. Also, always go for the pones furthest away, everyone usually goes for the closest ones, this is how I got mine. do you use rubies for sending? This an make a huge difference too.

Also, strong alliances shouldn't be stealing RVs outside of war, they have no reason to. Make sure the leaders of those alliances are aware that their members are stealing your RVs too.

    Good luck.

My RV issue is not really an RV problem, but a game one. I sent out an army to take an RV 21 hours away. After 15 minutes someone else had taken the RV. No problem, that's life.. My complaint is that the game tells me my troops are too far gone to recall...15 minutes into a 21 hour march. Now I have to wait and see if I lose my army or start a war. GGE needs to loosen up the troop recall rules.

close the window, reopen it so the game reloads and you can recall.

In sand, lvl3 stables, wolves, and ruby horses with a decent speed commander should get you a decent number of RVs.
If any of them in the clump is already taken then it may be worth trying for the food ones, but wood and stone are gonna be gone.
Anything over 45 minutes (from the time they show up, not when you notice them) is probably not gonna cut it except sometimes on food.

Yeah, well this is getting really not beeing much fun at all. i've been looking for a RV for 10 days now and never even seen one.Im totally surrounded by lv 50+ players (im level 30, so not even thinking about trying to steal one.)
its really starting to suck. im not a rubys player and i dont have the time to sit here and look for an RV for hours on end.starting to doubt their existence

the tactic that worked for lots of us was joining an alliance where others were also looking for rvs. that way you can alert each other.

I agree, i cant find any either. so im just building more farms, stone quarries, and woodcutters.while others have several or more. they should limit them like ops.

    Hi casimir2,

There are already limits on how many a player can have. You may have to battle other players and capture them.

    Regards,
    Ethan.

P.S. Please don't keep bumping old threads with the same complaint.

Most players have the same problem, upgrade your commander to have good travel speed bonus and have enough rubies to get to them fast.
And be patient, you will get some.

obviously casimir isn't the only one with the RV problem. So instead of telling him to shut up, why don't you fix the problem. I've been looking for 7 days and haven't even SEEN a free RV. I took one from another player and caught hell from my tribal hugging alliance. What's the problem with spawning more RVs?

Well, everyone has the same issue with RVs. 7 days is nothing, it took me months to get RVs in Sands and Fire. Ethan will always tell players to steal them, because that is what GGS designed them for, but it's not as simple as that, as everyone knows.

Although there are nowhere near enough RVs to go around, there are tactics available to find them, and the more active and clever players will always find RVs.

As I'm sure you all know, new villages spawn on the edges of the map. When I was still looking, I would check every 15 minutes when I was online. You should be working towards the fastest commanders and stables and getting yourself some wolves to capture them as it's all about getting to new RVs before the next guy does.

As far as existing RVs go, sure attacking active players villages may well cause you problems, but I guess that depends on your own alliance rules, and which alliance you attack.

There are many players that leave the game on a regular basis, and quite often, their accounts will still have villages attached when they get the boot. Use the building points ranking to find inactive players without an alliance, starting from the top, then check their profiles and see if they have any villages. This is the best way to find villages that are available to capture but may not be on everyone's radars. Quite often they are badly defended.

    Good luck.

Take them? There's not enough food in Glacier to build an army to successfully defend an attack on a resource village. Just to put 10 lvl 5 guys in all 30 of my resource villages costs 1200 food/hr. Plus you have to man your castle. Doesn't take much to walk all over 5 longs and 5 hals.

How about wait until new ones open up and be the first to get there.

Maybe a recommendation to GGS - if you're attempting to occupy an open RV, and someone else gets there first, how about giving us the opportunity to recall our troops. Nothing like finding out 1 hour into a 4 hour trip that the RV gets taken. Then you wait 3 hours to get there, 4 hours to come back, and another 4 to try and take another RV. A lot happens in 11 hours.

    Just my $.02

    Drob

I agree with this. Last week, I attempted to take 7 RVs that were more than 300 clicks from me. The time to arrive was anywhere from 4 to 15 hours. I could see from the travel button that several got taken by someone closer, but I could not recall my troops. It said they went too far. Well why should they have to go all the way and then comeback.

Or, here's a novel idea, there are many comments saying "take an RV from another player, it is a war game", well if I send troops to capture and someone gets there before me, why doesn't fight for it when my troops get there? Instead it says "sorry it's already occupied".

We wouldn't have to if something were done about it, Ethan, and it's disgusting how you're telling people with genuine complaints to 'shut up'. If people keep complaining about the same thing, you (i.e, the developers) can fix it. And these people are absolutely right, getting an RV at this point is insanely difficult. There's nothing around my new winter place except 40+ers and their RV's. Some of them have a dozen or more, and all close by, too. I just hit Lv27, think I'm gonna dare attack ANY of their RV's any time soon? Of course not. That's just crazy.

P.S. Just take a look at my next door neighbor. Lv70, 15 RV's to his name in glacier alone, makes me feel like an ant. And you (devs) expect me to try and TAKE one of those away from him? To RIP it out of his clutches!? Fat chance.
