Try to make him confess.
Is a confession required? I'm asking this, because I'm pretty sure it would be valid to do that.
It might be better to confess than just sending multiple websites. Either way both things are acceptable.
Never be able to get onto the game. Its like you never even played it.
I think so.
They absolutely 100% require proof now.
And by proof, I think they mean a confession - not circumstantial evidence.
Also, there's no point shooting me. I'm just the messenger.
So, basically unless a cheater is stupid enough to admit to it nothing can be done?
What happened to checking IP addresses of reported players?
How exactly do GGS expect to rid this game of all the cheats if they make it nearly impossible to get banned?
Gather round everyone! It's okay to have loads of accounts so long as you don't tell anyone. This game just gets better and better.
Apparently. I'm no inner-sanctum, but I know people were asking me why certain people hadn't been banned. I spoke to someone and he told me that unless you send in proof, it won't be touched.
They don't look at IP addresses because it's not a reliable system.
If you suspect someone of having multiple accounts, access to other accounts, password sharing, selling accounts etc etc. Then you need to gather proof (not circumstantial evidence) and then send it to support.
Yeah they are right. Using IP addresses to track cheaters just doesn't work. Nobody uses this method at all.
Should we also print our evidence and send it by carrier pigeon? Email is so unreliable these days....
I think an attachment of the confession should be enough.
As it's a family game it's difficult for them to disprove, without a confession, that someone doesn't have their whole family playing: mother, father, daughter, son, auntie, uncle, cousin, niece, nephew, friend etc.
People have large families these days and more and more people are getting online
Support do not require concrete proof or confessions. If you have that (and it does happen) then that is great, but support will investigate all cases. If you don't have proof then they will still look into it, but that doesn't mean that any action will be taken without sufficient evidence. We do check IP addresses as part of the process, but that alone may not be enough eveidence if there is just a suspicion.
I feel this topic has been discussed enough in the past and i shouldn't have to state yet again that accusations must not be made on the forum.

Ethan.
Sorry, but in the rules there is a section for letting support know if you are paying as a family or sharing an IP address. Surely if someone is reported and they check the IP address that player would then have the option to provide the proof as noted in the rules? If not, then why even bother asking anyone to provide this information as it doesn't even get used.
Do GGS plan to update the rules to reflect what actually happens? Or would they prefer we all waste yet more of our time reporting players who wont get banned and providing information that never gets used?
The rules are a complete joke.
I'll be honest, i think Terriah might have misunderstood this part. If families are playing together then that is not a problem and support will ask them to provide proof after locking the accounts. Once the proof has been provided and support are happy it is accurate then the accounts will be unblocked. However, if they are reported in future for "suspicious" behaviour or proof that the situation has changed then it will be ivnestigated further.
Which rule in particular are you referring to? If you can let me know either on this thread or via PM id be happy to discuss it further.
Regards,
Ethan
That's allowed. It's just for the same server.
That's only if you do it once without knowing the rules. If you do it 2+ times support will definitely ban all your account.
Really? So how do you explain the player on EN1 with 10+ accounts who still uses them all? He's even quite happy to tell people the account names and alliances are happy to have them as members.
This game is a joke.
