Commanders should fight

SuperClyde17SuperClyde17 Posts: 53
I say our Commanders should be able to fight too! He leads them to battle and watches them or something. They kind of are wimps!Ha ha.We gear them up and it enhances the others but it doesn't help the commander:D I hope you like this idea and think it's original
And its a poll too.

Because there isn't one extra troop. And no to this idea. What if they get killed? And what would be the point?

They can be a help to the game and if they do die you can train a new one all I am saying is that they could make a difference and they should have about 100 attack 100 defence but that's only one commander and gear can improve his stats

What would be the point? I mean, a commander doesn't necessarily HAVE to fight. They just lead their troops. And nobody would really want to because if a commander dies they lose their equipment, so if they have legendaries the players will get ticked off. :)

Well what if you have a chance to send a spy quickly back to grab the commander take his gear back and then you can recruit a new one and he could also be a new upgrade to a unit like you know how you get the new barracks but if you could level up commanders they can be stronger every time say level up after 100 battles won and then 300 hundred battles won then 600 battles won etc.

nope I'm sorry I don't see the point, commanders are supposed to sit back and watch which is why they are commanders not soldiers.

besides I have almost all my commanders decked out in legendary or unique items and you want me to just throw that stuff away for battles that I lose 8/10 times because its almost impossible to beat 5k support?

and then if I want it back I have to go through the effort of sending a spy to retrieve it, spies that could be finding my next target? and for what? so I get one extra troop with 100 attack power? thats worse than 2h swords, wouldn't even make a difference with my kingsguard.

so no, leave it as it is, it is simple enough and I like it that way

Lets look at the real world. Do generals walk into a warzone and start helping the troops? No. They're there to lead, not fight.

Also imagine if the enemy could get all those equipment and suddenly make their own super commander? Hell I could just get khan and thorn king armor because of this

Sort of depends on the general. Alexander the Great lead his army from the front. And if the battle went badly enough a general might draw his blade and charge in (since in this game there is a no retreat policy after a few minutes). Of course now you've lost your general, seasoned from years of experience (loaded with good equipment), which is horrible...and pointless.

Why would you ever want your commander to die??

This idea isn't very practical or useful...so why would we ever want it implemented? Ever?

whats the piont? commanders already improve the troops strength (if you equip them) and whats the point of having ONE extra man? its quite rear that you lose a battle cos you had 1 man less than your enemy

Just what I was about to say.

When looking at suggestions you need to weigh up the benefit to the game versus the burden imposed. In the case of this suggestion, I see the following:

Benefit: 1 extra troops to fight in amongst anything up to 1,600 troops.

Burden: The possibility of losing equipment that cost millions of coins and possibly thousands of rubies.

    Soooo.....erm.....no thanks.
    It's been a while.....

Please leave Commander settings as it is now.

However, I do like the idea of Commander gaining level-ups after certain number of battles from RBCs only, not other player castles. This is because other player castles can be biased, pre-planned and the winner could be pre-determined.

On the other side, castellans can gain level-ups too.

You've got a point about Alexander the Great. I think when I posted that comment I was thinking more about modern day generals and forgot to consider people like that.

yeah, I can see that. I'm not sure we even have frontline generals these days. A lot more armchair generals.

Last one I can think of is Patton in his tank.
