Anyway the outside of the castle should be black but it's still this stupid crimson colour. Just had a look at Badrick's Castle (for l knew he had the crimson towers on the outside) and it is still crimson when it should be black...

Perception of the colour changes as you zoom in and out. Even at the same size as the sample I think the sample is darker than what we got. Which is beside the point - why call it black when it is clearly grey? It should look like black enamel not a dusty bit of slate.
In my opinion you're being too picky over this. I could understand your point if we had not shown the sample image and just listed the colour as black, but it was clearly shown before hand what it actually looked like. Regardless of critcism about what terms were used to describe the colour the wall in game does look like the sample image shown on the forum.

I didn't vote and I only really look at this forum when GGS does something truly apalling (like taking away our coins or massively increasing the cost of attacking and defending).
Be that as it may, the colour is boring and it really annoys me. So much so that I had an idea that could revolutionise online games: what if players with level 5 walls and towers could _choose_ their colour? Shocking I know but it would mean the appearance of a castle I have worked on for over 9 months would not be determined by someone else.
On that note I wonder what the result of that poll would have been if you had restricted it to levels 69 and 70. Maybe by e-mailing or messaging those players in game. Just a thought I wanted to share because customer service doesn't seem to be your thing.

However, i really don't see the point of your complaint. The idea to choose the colour has been discussed already and has been forwarded, but that doesn't mean the option will be added. We have only limited customisation in the game for a number of reasons, and it's unlikely that is going to change in the near future.
Nobody is forcing you to like the colour, but that is the colour the communities voted for and therefore the one added to the game. Why you believe the decision should only be made by those that can have the wall now is beyond me, why should all players not be given the chance to have a say?

last I checked this was the first one in 1 year.
therefore, statistically there will barely be polls, so most checks on the forum for polls will go to waste.
i believe if you check around the forum you will find that i have already posted about this. It is known about and will be changed (hopefully the next update, but i don't know at the moment).
Please read my statement again. i did clearly state that they may be done again in future. I get the point you are trying to make, but if players want to be a part of the decision process then the forum will be the way forward.

At this point the level 69s and the level 70s are the ones who will be staring at those walls for hours and hours. Perhaps they might be better motivated to choose a more interesting look.
But why should GGS start catering to the most active and biggest spending players in the game? It's not like you have done much for us recently except to try and get us to buy more rubies.

I think this sums up this topic/issue up nicely.
At the end of the day, there was a vote across all forums, for all servers. The winning vote across all forums, for all servers was black.
Whether you like black or you don't, that is the winning colour choice.
