m-20 manlets
mm-max melee units
sl-scadding ladder
br-battering ram

barbarian fortress(level 25-ice kingdom):
A - A - 0
A - A - 0
mm+5sl - A - 0
mm - mm+5sl+2br - 0

http://prntscr.com/19put7*

another option for barbarian fortress for people who don't have 4 waves (level 25-ice kingdom):
A - A - 0
A - MR+m - 0
mm+5sl - mm - 0
<no print screen because i don't attack this way -- i have 4 waves>

desert fortress(level 40 - sand kingdom):
A - A - A
A - A - A
A - A - A
MR+m - MR+m+4 sl+4br - MR+m

(i did 24, the minimum is 22)

dragons(level 50 - fire kingdom):
0-MR+35 manlets-0
0-MR-0
0-MR-0
0-MR-0

note: not 40 manlets, 35 manlets (not the maximum)

http://prntscr.com/196mq0**

another way for dragons:
MR+30 manlets - MR+35 manlets - 0
MR - MR - 0
MR - MR - 0
MR - MR - 0

* 90% melee commander
** 90%ranged commander

tricks:
1. 90% ranged when using ranged in the commanders
2. 90% melee when using melee in the commanders
3. trade with people and get the closest recouce village next to the fortress so you can be the first one to hit the fortress/dragon

contact me if i missed anything people, and post if this helped!
good luck!

    can you tell us the stats of the wall and gate in the desert fortress! so we can improve it for people will gate and wall effects on their commanders!

    As the post below was changed, here is my reply, I have a 90 90 commander! But clearly for dessert and dragon fortresses its best to use a 90 range commander with wall and gate reductions.

    good point, but with castellan bonuses and other bonuses i get mixed up. if you want calculate yourself by spying on the fort/dragon.

    get 90% ranged and 90% melee on the same commander and then we will talk.

    When you reach level 50, you unlock a kingdom called "Fire Peaks". Inside this kingdom, there is a fortress (like in the other kingdoms), and it's a dragon fortress.

    barbarian fortress(ice):
    You can send the melee attackers in the first wave followed by the ranged soldiers, or you can mix them up. Either way works good. But where should you attack? Very simple, The front and the left flank. The front and the left flank are not very well defended so it will be a breeze to take them out. AVOID HITTING THE RIGHT FLANK AS IT IS WELL DEFENDED AND YOU WILL LOSE TROOPS.

    I disagree with this method. I've tried this method before with a loss of about 60 troops, but when I tried therealsporer's fortress method which was:

    Wave 1: L - martyrs F - martyrs R - forget about it
    Wave 2: same as wave 1 (if you have only 3 waves skip this)
    Wave 3: L - 15 ranged (heavy or better), 8 melee (heavy or better) with 10 mantlets F - All ranged with 20 mantlets R - forget about it
    Wave 4: All melee, with as many ladders as possible (just to be safe)

    I lost only 34 troops with 3 waves

    For the Fire fortress, Jadetxxx (cant remember how to spell it) method is better

    Left and Middle flanks, full ranged attackers, full manlets for all 4 waves

    I just copied what the only idea I found was....
    I don't attack barbarian fortresses.
    will update, but the best is known to be 100% melee. will try (response to zemaster)

    how many deaths? (response to wiliam)

    this way makes no sense: if the people beat a flank/middle, all rest of the manlets are usless.

    The other thread led me here. Yes, this is awesome, I don't know who was the author but kudos to whomever, only had 29 losses in 3 waves sent, 133 troops.

    it mostly depends on your commander.

    I did the 4 wave one with 20 losses.

    I disagree. Sending 4 waves of full ranged up the centre only saves many tools. Personally I'd rather save tools than troops. -52 is a reasonable number of troops to lose and only 35 mantlets are easier and faster to replace.

    What Ive noticed is that sending mixed troops actually increases your losses compared to just sending only melee or only ranged. Like that 15 ranged, 8 melee

    Also ice fortress left flank: No tools left and you have equal melee/ranged str

    I would use full melee + 6 scaling ladders instead of 10 mantlets as its a lot cheaper resource wise. Also when calculated

    full ranged + 10 mantlets: 1900 defense => xbow => 1900/92 = 20,65 soldiers required
    full melee + ladders: 2300 defense => 2h => 2300/109 = 21,1 soldiers required

    So its almost same amount of losses both ways, you just save the resources using ladders.

    Edit. I just made an attack my way with 3 waves and lost 31 (3 spearmen = martyrs) men with ladders on left flank. Commander str: 70% ranged, 15,5% melee

    2 waves of martyrs in left flank and 1 in middle. left flank 3rd wave full melee, middle 2nd wave full ranged, middle 3rd wave full melee.

    These are xbow and 2h

    yup nice idea since right flank is much more stronger than both other sides but only if we are talking for sand

    I wrote the desert one, which 100% people agree on my way.

    for the fire one me and baldrick agree that the smartest way is the way I have mentioned, because jade's way might have less deaths, but needs more tools and more people.

    I agree, but I am not going to use 30 extra mantels to get 6 more people that don't die............

    I could probably beat that -46 if I was willing to send more tools and more troops, but using 624 ranged and 35 mantlets enables me to sustain a dragon only army and still maintain a regular tower army too, which means if I do miss out on a dragon by someone else getting there first, I can still loot without having to wait for the dragon army to return to my castle. So for dragons, it's not to do with troops losses it's to do with logistics and the overall ability to loot.

    I have the same idea, but instead of farming cultists I have two dragon armies.

    Wow this is helpful. How many rubies do you get off a dragon? How many coins do you get?
