Hello all,

I write this message at a loss. My friends and I have recently started playing this game, very late to the party it would seem. We formed a small alliance, and kept to ourselves. We've busied ourselves with learning the mechanics and with building up our resources.

We've had some minor skirmishes, which I'm proud to say we came out on top of more often than not. When attacked, we would strike back once and let that be the end of it.

Recently, we find ourselves at the mercy of a group calling itself 'The Dread Network'. Within the past 24 hours, we have been attacked over 9 times by three different alliances belonging to this Dread Network. Their goal seems to be to capture our two shiny Outposts.

We have done nothing to provoke them, simply defended ourselves in the past when their members attacked us. But today, 'Dreaded Knights' declared war upon us, and when I inquired as to why, I was simply told "You've been targeted by the Dread Network."

I inquired with the then-leader of AoD Dread, Lord Npherno, and was told that if we surrendered our Outpost, that would be the end of hostilities.

These people are all level 31+ (a lot of them in the higher numbers), our highest member is level 21.

We cannot stand against their aggression, but to let them just simply take our Outposts we've worked on for weeks seems like utter failure.

So what options do we have? It seems like the best course of action would be to quit this game and never look back. Is this really how this game treats new players? Jumped on by multiple players all with a massive level advantage? This is 'fun'?

I know that a war game is by its very nature 'war'. But this is also a game, and a game is only fun if the war is balanced. Right now, it doesn't seem very balanced at all.

If anyone would have any suggestions to save Four Lights from the cold night of apathy, I'd be welcome to hear them.

reach out to a bigger alliance near by one with lvl 40s 50s 60s they will help. Most of the time all it takes is a message from a big alliance threating them to stop.

    Hmmmmm, really 9 alliances attacKing?

Sorry if I was unclear, we've been attacked 9 times today. Most of the attacks have been from 'AoD Dread', though two or three attacks came from one of their affiliates, Ikon. Finally, one of their member alliances, Dreaded Knights, declared war on us after I refused to hand over one of our Outposts when 'asked' by Lord Npherno. (Asking involved him saying "Give it to us or we'll take it.")

I asked Lady1Nonly, the person who declared war, why we were suddenly at war, and was told that she was directed to declare war by Lord Npherno, who had 'targeted' us.

Our Alliance has three members, levels 16-21.

Dreaded Knights (1 Attack) has 12 members, levels 21-29.
AoD Dread has (5 attacks) has 22-23 members, levels 29-55.
Ikon. (3 attacks) has 10 members, levels 17-30.

Yeah, i'm pretty far away from the main body of my alliance, who are, frankly, 180 space points away.
I'm pretty much making them look bad, because by the time i've been mass attacked, their support is still hours away.

I've being attacked just before i can build a defense, and rebuild, by three lower players at a time,
and (at least) once a week by a high player, to make sure i'm on my knees....
    suggestions?

How far away are the people who are attacking you? You guys are over 500 away from me, but I might join you to send you 4k KG defense just for the lulz.

I've received a few messages offering to help, and I wanted to say I appreciate it.

A few have messaged me indicating that I should take it up to the head of their mega-alliance. I've questioned a few people in AoD Dread and Dreaded Knights, and everyone I've talked to has referred me back to Lord Npherno as the one in charge.

Thus far we've managed to repel the attempts to capture our outposts, at the sacrifice of our main castles taking a drumming.

I've had a few people indicate they were speaking up on our behalf, and I can only hope that has a calming effect.

ColdFury you paint a nice pic in forum. Like we are just really hounding you. The first conversation we had I told you we would send you the resources and what not to get a new op and that the one we were after was only because of where it was located strategicly. Then you run to the forums to try to garner help against the big bad alliance thats bullying you buy doing something the game allows like capturing an outpost. I personally have not attack you are any of your members cause you guys are small. As far as our subs they are all around your lvls and most members that have attacked your guys are within player recommended 10 levels which also is no where in the game rules I read. Now if you want to claim I didn't offer you a chance for resources and help building an op in return for that op I would like to point you to this screenshot. I guess I could of been more nice in saying things but I dont feel the need to really. http://prntscr.com/14q6z4

You haven't personally attacked us... until now, right?

Let's go over the timeline, NPherno:

We awake Sunday morning to multiple attacks inbound on our castles and outposts. Some from Ikon., some from AoD Dread. In your defense, the Ikon. ones may have been coincidence, one of their members claimed as such.

So there were approximately 2 or 3 attacks from Ikon. on our castles, and if I'm recalling correctly, one large attack at our Outpost from AoD Dread. After that attack launched, a capture attack was sent.

At *that* point I asked you what was going on in an attempt to broker peace.

You gave me the aforementioned 'ultimatum', "Give me your outpost or we'll take it."

When I pointed out to you that this was a bullying tactic, you responded it wasn't bullying, bullying would be having us targeted by the 'dread network'. "Now will you give it to us, or will we take it?"

When I refused to hand over an Outpost that *we started* from the ground up, you *then* had Dreaded Knights declare war upon us.

Even now, after we've repelled multiple attempts at capturing now *two* of our outposts, you're now sending a 300+ attack force at one of our Outposts because 'You need it for our war strat'.

TL;DR? You attacked. We repelled. You offered a bribe, we refused, and you've launched relentless assaults on us.

You're level 55, and you're trying to claim you're 'playing fair' by sending a large force at one of our Outposts? You should be ashamed of yourself.

Cold Fury, contact this guy. It generally works better going to the top instead of posting on the forums. Often times that causes retalitation attacks which might be what you are talking about now.

heres the bitter fact coldfury you came to forum and tried to get help from somewhere to try to deter us from taking the outpost. That to me says one thing its now war and in war there is no rules. My goal in war is make it fast and painless. So that 300+ troops will be followed by a capture of a greater number and lead right before by a even bigger force. Once that op is captured then it will be defended. Once its under our full control we leave you guys alone. We have come up with op swaps and resource agreements with plenty of other alliances in the area and had no problem with them and most of them benefited a lot more than they already had. You are the one that wasn't willing to come to some sort of agreement. Maybe if you would of sent a message back with some type of alternative it would of been different. Right now theres a cap coming in on a member of an ally alliance I am helping rebuild right now and they aren't running to the forums for support they are dealing with it like true players of the game. Now I dont do the forum cause I feel its a waste of time that could be spent actually spending the game instead of typing if it wasn't for allies coming on here and telling me about the bable your spewing I would of left it at just the lower lvl members battling it our over the op but I'm ready for it to just end then you can move onto your next help post of how we took your op and you want revenge. Lets get it straight your not quitting over a lost op thats not even half way built up and has no ruby gear at all. Your just flapping your lips. You might of even been able to broker a deal where I jumped into your alliance for a sec and donate some rubies to your alliance but no you did no type of negotiating a true leader would of took the obstacle and turned it into some type of victory. All you did was make it worst. So this is my last post on the subject and no offers are on the table for compensation anymore.

Everyone I asked said that Lord Npherno was in charge of AoD. I came to the forums as a last resort. I'm a new player, I don't have connections, I'm just trying to learn the ropes. I was hoping public diplomacy would succeed where private talks failed.

LOL!! That's just dirty. The OP is apparently not built up and has no ruby buildings. I'm guessing Dread wants it for being a shiny food or it's location. Razing it would not deter them I'm guessing.

Npherno is in charge of AoD Dread, a branch of the Army of Darkness. Confuzzion is the overall leader of AoD. Perhaps he can broker some sort of peace agreement.

Thanks for the clarification, Hook3R. I sent Confuzzion a note this morning. My intention isn't to piss anyone off, we just want to not be destroyed by some mega alliance just because we built our house where they want to build an interstate.

    Hi there
You are correct this is a war game and unfortunately
like the real world there are bullies. So my advice to you is to seek assistance from the bigger alliances. I dunno about USA1 but in EN1 most of the leaders of the big alliances ie The Dark Union, BSK, ect are quite honourable guys and bullying is frowned upon by these guys. So write to some of the big boyz and explain your predicament and you may find they are willing to help.
