    That very well could be.

In USA-1, how many alliances are there that hold 35 to 45 players?
    45 to 55?
    55+?

    Majority above-average holds 35 to 45 members.
Just a few have between 45 and 55.
We can count on two hands those having more than 60+ members.

Do you mean the alliances as a whole, or just one wing/branch/division/whateverpeoplecallthem. Because if it's just one wing, I count 3 in the top 200 Bad Boys, Bad Boys Mari and Valhal Sword. If it's the former I think there's more the 10 60+ member alliances.

We also have 60+ members in the main division of Black-Rose.

At the time I looked they had 58, currently they have 57, some fluctuation is expected.

Are there limits on what levels you can attack/be attacked?

Im relatively new to the game and up to Level 21. Not attacked anyone other than Robber Barons or Ruins, but just got nailed by a level 60. He is the leader of an alliance level 8, with 39 members, whilst I sit in a small alliance with just three others.

If its a one off, then I guess fair enough, but I get the feeling I wont be seeing the last of him.

Well in my opinion, it's bad form to attack anyone that's 15-20 level lower than you, until level 40, by that time you should be able to defend yourself or be in a alliance that can. But sadly not everone shares that feeling.

I meant to type this in the morning.

I meant this to be a message to all the small alliances. To Stand Up. To Unite. Not to be pushed around any more. Is that not how we got the saying Strength in numbers? One big alliance would be stood up against by 40 little ones :p!

But alas, I have failed. My intentions were to liberate us from what I perceived of tyranny, and to create a environment from which the little ones have opportunities to get bigger and greater. Instead, it seems the bigger ones will control the server International 2 forever and forever. In USA1, The misc is fighting The collective, and While the misc is not small they cannot be considered as an old alliances who control the server as of yet. In international 1 there is no steady leader since all the warring prevents it.

Yet in international 2, oh, how they rule. The head held up high and the brain working in cunning deceptive ways. They think they can do whatever they want without hope of retaliation.

May I tell you the story of Mavgyver?

When my alliance was small, No more than 13 members infact, mavgyver came. He was a ruby buyer, and a very heavy one at that. Strongly loyal to us and a friend. Yet, he didn't want us lie down on our back and let the big alliances run all over us. So one day, when my alliance members Outpost was being captured, he attacked them, and fought. We fought with hope of victory, and victory we did achieve. And then...Came the retaliation. How harsh it was. For Mavgyver alone was level 30 at that time, and I was the highest level, a level 47. 30 attacks alone at Mavgyvers main and outpost. More to us. We tried to fight but they ran over us. We called for help, but everyone in their fear would not help us. They said they would not stop until mavgyvers ruby build up outpost was theirs. So on they fought, crushing us at every turn. Finally, they captured the outpost. Mavgyvers castles was in flames and ours likewise.

Mavgyver told me he could not stand it any more. All those rubies did not help. Nothing.

He left, and never heard of anymore.

And there went our bright spot of the alliance. Our strongest player, our biggest ruby buyer, the player who made us all laugh and who helped us fight. Who introduced me to many movies and shows. He was the most loyal, the most powerful, the most brave, the most Roman of us all. And he went down. Through all this time; we have never found another player like him.

I am not whining. I am stating. The difference is what I am saying is not said out of anger and hatred, but logic and reality.

The game has turned, now to win you must join or become part of a strong alliance that will help protect you. I know people wanted to help you win, to fight for you and protect you. You may not like it, but change is here and to win you must change.

I spent a couple of months in us1. I was part of an alliance of 25 +/-, and we could keep ourselves around the 20th spot in the ranking. There were a few big alliances, but there was room for a lot of smaller ones.

Bullying aside, there's one reason for attacks on small alliances from larger ones that has not been addressed here. Larger families have pacts and naa's with many other families. There's also a number of other large alliances that are not attacked to avoid clashes that may lead to wars. That leaves not one large alliance, a number of medium size alliances, and practically all small alliances as candidates for an attack.

I know. Someone was asking earlier in the thread for input from someone else's experience in other serves, I think.

In int2, we used to have 12TO. All the alliances 15 members+ used to join. We never joined though.

Im not so sure what happened to it.

Officially, I2TO is still going, but it's very loose, and a little unclear exactly what the terms are supposed to be. I suspect every alliance has a slightly different set of rules for dealing with other I2TO members, if any. Basically, glory hits are fine, but we aren't supposed to steal RVs or attack the same player too often. But honestly, everyone pretty much does whatever they want, especially those in the larger alliances. I see it as little more than something you put in your alliance description, but I suppose it does give a starting point for negotiations. At any rate, we haven't had any major wars on there that I know of for quite a while, and I2TO probably deserves at least some of the credit for that.

I have pointed out before on other threads that this game is called EMPIRE and the ultimate goal is global domination, an objective which is not usually achieved by being nice to your opponents. I play in inter 1, which sometimes feels like the world of George Orwell"s 1984 where perpetually warring power blocks seamlessly change sides and convince themselves that the shifting sands of diplomacy are actually made of granite, and that what is now is what has always been. If there is hope, it lies with the proles !
