Multiple battle reports

So I sent reinforcements to an ally from three diffrent castles. When my ally was attacked I got three identical battle reports.

I suggest that you get battle report based on which castle the troops are in, not for each army that is in that castle.

I know this is only a minor annoyance, but it should only take a minor effort to fix, right?

    That is such a helpful reply.
    Thank you so much for confirming that the suggestion that I posted in the suggestion forum is so minor that it is not a priority, just like I said myself in the original post in which I said that it was merely a minor annoyance.

    He should have done it more politley.
    That minor issue is not a big enough priority to have its own fix, maybe it will with an update or something else it may be included.

    I never said that it should get it's own update. But if they are ever to fix it they have to be alerted to it and that's what this thread is about; alerting GGS to something that needs fixing so that sometime in the future they may be able to fix it.
    Hopefully we will one day see an update that has the lines:

    Bug fixes:
    -Yadaa-yada
    -Multiple reinforcements in the same castle no longer create multiple battle reports.
    -More fixes irrelevant to this thread.

    all i was saying is that they should focus on other problems.
    every problem takes time to fix and i was saying there are more important things than this which dosent realy bother people

    Perhaps, but this is what suggestion forums are for. To give suggestions to the developers. This isn't a bug repport that requires immediate fixing, that would have gone in the Technical Support & Bugs forum. This is a suggestion and GGS is can safely postpone or ignore it without it ruining the game.

    You know, you can just delete the other battle reports with it, its not that hard.

    I know. That's the very reason it is a very minor problem, which has been said very often in this yet very short thread.

    Wow... stop jumping down people's throats Kap. Yes, this is the place for discussing suggestions... You've made your suggestion and other people are now pointing out that it would be a huge waste of GGS's time to deal with such a minor thing that to be honest isn't even that annoying given that you can just delete the additional messages which takes what, less than a second?
    And if that annoys you so much that you think GGS should put any time into changing this you're going to be really mad when you get hit by one of the many bugs.

    The thing it that it probably would take very little effort to fix. This is probably the easiest thing in the world to fix if they are using agile development methods. Saying that it's a huge waste of time is like calling a pebble a boulder.

    No... Stabbing myself in the eye would take only seconds but would still be a huge waste of time. My point is that it isn't worth them putting any time into it.. If it took one guy to click one button that would change this then it still wouldn't be worth doing because it is so very minor that it doesn't bother anyone, at all, ever. Present company exclude of course... Haha... sorry, didn't mean that to come off quite as shouty as it does when read back.

    Think of it this way then...
    There are a lot of players on the servers. A lot of castles and troop or resource transports to keep track of. There's a lot of things bogging down the servers both in processing power and memory usage. So what do you think is better optimized and less of a burden on the servers; sending one battle repport or three?

    they have a lot of proccesing power
    it wont matter if a few people get 2 or 3 more messages
    also the 2 or 3 battle reports show you how many troops you have left in each outpost as they all go back to thair original outposts when the time is up.
    this idea has no point and is so minor they will never fix it
    it only takes a second to delete a msg

    No, the battle reports are identical and show the whole battle, not just the troops from the respective outposts.

    The only things pointless in this thread are unhelpful posts claiming that this isn't worth GGS's time. I'm just bringing attention to a small problem and it is up to the developers to decide if it is worth their time.
    No one has posted an opposing opinion. Anything other than a post adding details to the problem or someone claiming that they like receiving three identical battle reports is unhelpful.

    It actually is annoying when I get 3 or 4 identical reports.
    Even though it is something minor, I still want this to be put in place, and I support this idea :)

    id rather the gg team focus on other bugs e.g the dissapearing troop bug
    if they can fix this then the game will be a lot better

    your saying that ggs should fix this.
    im saying they should focus on other bugs, id like there to be 1 battle report when you support but id rather not loose my troops to a bug that needs to be fixed
