Example - You can send an attack of 1040 macemans, and another attack of 520 two handed swords, sending the two handed swords is more wise, however, if you have already good soldiers, quantity is the one who makes the difference and can save soldiers, for example if you defend an attack with 1000 soldiers on the keep you may have "x" amount of losses, but if you defend from the same attack with the same defender soldiers types but with double of them, you will have less casualties.

Yea i knew that that wasn't the question....
OK so.... I understand that
But which attack would be more effective
1000 mace man or 500 two handed sword?
And which would make a better defense
1000 spear man or 500 halberdiers?
Obviously 500 two handed swords is better, and 500 halberdiers is also better.
