The new, 5th Kingdom

Baldrick (GB1)Baldrick (GB1) Posts: 4,948
What would you like to see in the new, 5th Kingdom?

Please note that there may never be a 5th Kingdom, but I think there will be one, eventually. For the purposes of this thread, let's assume a new kingdom will eventually open.

So, here's your chance to voice your opinion as to what you'd like to see there.

Post any new kingdom ideas you may have and you never know, GGS may be interested to hear what you have to say.

If we'd done this 6 months ago, maybe things would be different.

Power to the people!

Anything but Resouce Villages, Fortresses and the same map with soldiers with the same stats.
Probably a Kingdom with new buildings, and something that adds new gameplay, maybe the introduction of certain wild animals in the the NPC's for example, NPC Towers with Lions or crows or other animals like that, and another idea is that I want to see a kingdom where you could see your castle in the night time and you have to buy certain decorations like lamps or something, I could say they should do something like a
    "wild mid-night mountain kingdom".
My Idea is, In the mountain production is pretty limited, and you will have a very low occupancy rate, and because there will be no resource Villages I think it could be added something like new characters, this ones can be unlocked doing quests or certain challanges such as defeating the "Mountain Towers" this characters will allow you to increase the total occupancy rate of your castle for a resource you like let's say increase in 1 the occupancy rate of the food plants, let's say you could get 5 doing quests and 5 doing challenges, and you could get more donating resources, also like Baldrick said there could be another character you could earn through an event this one will allow you to "tame" the wild animals and take them back to your castle where they could help you defend it and you could attack with them them.

Ooh, wild animals. I like the sound of that. Maybe you could start be getting attacked by the animals, then hire a few Lion whisperers and set them to attack other players.

    Lions 1 Halberdiers 0. :)

I don't want there to be resource villages, because all the higher-level players and ruby buyers would start the kingdom right away and capture all the villages. I think it should kind-of be like The Great Empire kingdom, but no outpost and instead of robber barons there could be creatures from mythology like centuars, minotaurs, gorgons, etc. that have camps positioned at random places on the map. Since there wouldn't be any outpost or resource villages, you could be able to convince some of the creatures to work for you, but it would cost alot of resources/coins, they would have to stay at the camp unless attacking someone, and would go back to normal after a few days. To make sure they aren't all taken by a player and they keep paying to use the camp, you wouldn't be able to take over that camp for two weeks and can't have more than three at a time.

That pretty much sums up what we want to see. This is what we do NOT want to see, unless it is unclear:

    •No Fortresses
    •No Resource Villages
•NOT some repetitive cycle of the other kingdoms.

Something I would like to see would be maybe a kingdom on an island, so it would use the "Boats" suggestion many people have discussed.

Yes! I really like the idea of a water based kingdom, with islands and docks/ships. I guess the dynamics of the game would be the same, A attacks B etc.

Maybe there could be a new storyline following an island-You wash up on the island, stranded, and your castle on the map actually looks different, because you have to make your castle out of something other than the same old wood, maybe sticks, or even sand!

Since it should be different, you send a loootttt of resources from your other castles or loot from others to make a workshop. It would cost a lot. And you upgrade it to like 20 levels ( each level creates 10 wood/stone/food). You can only make a workshop and deco, that's it. Only one workshop. This kingdom can be for level 60s who have the potential. You may not want to do this kingdom, but the reward for beating a fortress can be 250 rubies, a lot of coins( 20k) and lots of resources.

    Just shoutin out ideas guys!

Lol, no one voted for the same kind of kingdom as the others. This can be like a permanent thorn king event.

Can we get a CM on this?

You wash up on the island, and straggle up the mountain gaining resources, fighting and making small camps until you get to the summit of the mountain, where you make your permanent settlement in that kingdom.

See what happens when we DON'T let GGS do all the thinking?

I agree with the water world idea but I don't think it should be like many have suggested. In other words, NOT transport ships full of soldiers, but the ships are the soldiers. You would need a dock for the barracks, the marketplace would supply trade ships, your castle would be on an island, and that's about all I can suggest. Anybody think that there should be Sea monsters???

Sea Monsters could replace the Norsemen, Dragons and whatever's in the Burning Sands.

Well, remember what Baldrick said, "Please note that there may never be a 5th Kingdom, but I think there will be one, eventually. For the purposes of this thread, let's assume a new kingdom will eventually open." I do not believe that the levels will be brought up to level 70. If this is ever put into the game, it would have to be for level 60.

This reminds me of another similar MMO which I play at the same time and starts with the letter 'G.' The night-time idea would be brilliant as it gives another perspective on your castle(s.) This would be run via server time according to the server. If it is 6:00pm CET, like it is where I am situated, it would be near-pitch black. I think another kingdom has to be added, as I and many others like yourselves are level 60s and if that situation doesn't change then, GGS could be seeing a number of people leave.

You could operate the night and day thing like Grand Theft Auto, where game time is speeded up significantly, so everyone gets to see night, and day, no matter what time zone they're in.

Nice ideas so far, keep 'em comin'.

Hmm nice ideas. i like the island idea. What if we do this? you have a small harbor town. 1/4 of the normal castles and you can capture 2 (or more) small outposts designed for fighting alone.

this time all different buildings. and no recourse villages.

in the harbor town, instead of growing wheat you need to catch fish. so you dont have the usual farms or bakery no. you get the fishery and some kind of cooking post.
    an Harbor for boats.
no stone walls. but just wooden walls.
and not the same stone towers in your castle. i like the idea of tents.

So, we have a lot of interest for a water based kingdom, and also wild animals.

Let's see who can come up with an idea that encapsulates both?
