Notice of allies being attacked

DestroahDestroah Posts: 2
It would be great if there was a warning when an ally is being attacked, like the one you can see when enemy forces are approaching your own castle! This way, it would be easier to help allies defend, since you will get alerted if they are being attacked...
(Dunno if this has been posted before, don't have time to look through 1k+ threads!)

Thanks for a great game!

Cheers!

Not bad, but attacking is pretty hard already

It has been mentioned before and I think it is a good idea. I think it should exclude robber baron attacks and there should be a separate horn for incoming alliance attacks.

Add a poll. I'll vote yes.

Yeah, definitely. I think that players have to cope with attacks from AI themselves, but if another player attacks it could be helpful... And yeah, a special kind should pop up if an alliance which is waging war against yours is attacking!

Completely agree. Would be a useful feature but annoying if RBCs are included

I'll throw in my yes on this. Having to check the travel window constantly is extraordinarily irritating.

Also, and kind of coincidental, it would be nice if RBC attacks had their own tab in the travel window. It's aggravating to sift through "real" attacks versus RBC attacks.

I vote conditional yes... with two issues I see arising. It will add to the lag if we all see 5x as many incomings as current and two, I need new tabs. As it is, "Alliance Troops" isn't cutting it. I now have to scroll through 10-15 pages of stationing (due to a capital) just to find a new incoming. It's almost impossible to keep an eye out for new incomings internally, nevermind having to scroll through other alliances.

And I would want to be able to toggle it off if need be. Not because I don't want to help my pact-mates, more if the lag gets too out of control, the ability to toggle off during heavy attack times may make it so I can provide support for even my own guys.

There are times when even just internal chat can bog the systems.

And if I were to update incomings, it would be handy if the incomings horn would be solid if it was an incoming for me and semi-transparent if it was for an alliance-mate. It would then tell me to check that tab and scroll through support pages.

And lastly I agree, that RBC/fortress/dragon attacks occurring in other alliances would absolutely need to be filtered out.

    I like it.

but it will make attacking more harder...

    Hi,

the same suggestion was came to our attention before as well,

but we would like to encourage the communication within the alliance or team.

Plus as per current features you can not send your defenders to support allies or other teams under pact.

within the team as you all know its does show in travel overview.

but thanks for your suggestions, we always take a note of same and do forward them to respective team to evaluate them more.

    regards,

the problem with the current system is if you don't have anything traveling that is YOURS (market barrows, troops, or spies) then you don't look at your travel menu often, so if the player being attacked isn't on you have a very small chance of seeing the attack until it is too late

Even in an alliance with exceptional communication and support, it's still incredibly annoying to have to open the travel view constantly to check. I tend to have the travel page open a lot to spot incoming attacks.

One way to solve this would be that the travel view could open in a separate window (I'm really not sure how this would work with flash) and remain open even when playing the game.

So the view would be the same but we could watch for incoming alliance attacks and build/attack/collect taxes at the same time.

When your allies are being attacked you should be able to know that and you should be able to support them fully cause they are your allies, sorry if someone already posted this cause i couldn't find any post related to this subject

This is a terrible idea. Int1 and Int2 are filled with massive "alliance families". They would become even stronger.

    I vote NO!

Yes you shouldn't be able to see attacks on your pacts, but i think it is important that GGE makes sure that you know when your alliance members are being attacked
