Riots

What if, when your Public Order is low, (in the red) for about two or three days, they will start a riot, and productivity will go down, or they might 'sabatoge' buildings, for lack of a better word.

(Sorry if these are not the correct names)
Low PO in Main Kingdom: 2-3 days before villagers riot
Low PO in Ice Kingdom: 7-10 days before villagers riot
Low PO in Sand Kingdom: 14-18 days before villagers riot
Low PO in Fire Kingdom: 23-25 days before villagers riot
(I haven't been to fire Kingdom yet, so I don't know how bad the PO gets)

I think it might be a very good idea, what do you think?

Seems like a good idea, there should be some reaction to citizens when their buildings are on fire or have low public order.

Thanks, an idea started forming in my mind after reading pugsley2's post about how people are calm, even though the castle is burning.

only that the people who always have low public order in one castle (because it is for housing or something) will be very annoyed

They obviously didn't plan a balanced castle/outpost then.

So then, you'll be okay with your own villagers rioting every time you move into a new kingdom then? All this would do would be to put people off moving. Everyone has red PO in the new kingdoms for a while.

I'm guessing you want other peoples villagers to riot but not your own.

Thats rather insulting how you assume the worst. Even I'm having trouble keeping my Public Order above red in the new worlds. I'm just trying to think of ways to make the game more realistic, not put out ideas that will benefit only me in some 'evil scheme'.

I'm an honest player in this game, and I appreciate the criticism, but really, all you see in the idea is me trying to use others? I'm suggesting things to better construct the game like anyone else does.

I really do appreciate the criticism though, you gave me a new idea, that made me edit my top post, to make it more fair, but the details are always subject to change.:)

um just saying, new kingdoms dont necessitate low PO, I have never had PO below 0 except for possibly for an hour or so on my first day and i had negative moral for the thornking, I just am careful to balance decos with houses in every kingdom I am in :)

Exactly! you just have to be smarter with the way you play, there will of course be that 2-3 day period where you have time to prevent the immenent riot, but otherwise, it's just planning on your part.

I like it better now that you have changed the times involved as it would actually encourage people to build faster.

I think the time in the main kingdom should be longer though as new players may be put off if they log on to see their buildings on fire.

I now approve of your idea Mr Pigz :)

Thank you, I saw that you had a very valid point. Also, they can probably get the riot protection in protection mode (where you are protected the first 6 days of the game), so they have a more fair chance.

I'm just saying, I don't think we want to be messing with the troops, they're the main point of the game and take a long time to recruit and cost a lot of gold. I just think it might put people off having something that can kill them other than battle.

The idea is good though and as Mr Pigz pointed out, having it infect the villagers would be a better idea.

Well the production already goes down, when PO is down, and if your buildings were sabotaged (And that's why your PO is down) the buildings on fire have even LESS production then ever.
