I thought I would add some more information to help compare. I've added no horses and level 1 stable horses.

    199.5 distance away

    Without any horses - 18:28:20
    With level 1 coin horses - 8:24:28
With level 1 cheap ruby horses - 6:10:03
With level 1 expensive ruby horses - 4:24:23

    400.2 distance away

    Without any horses - 33:20:59
    With level 1 coin horses - 9:48:19
With level 1 cheap ruby horses - 6:40:02
With level 1 expensive ruby horses - 4:30:17

Yep, and that's bakeries in the plural - in food outposts and the other kingdoms if you can afford it.

Bakeries are more useful than stables they can really make you have hundreds of soldiers more than you could :D

    Go for:

    1) Bakery,
    2) Watchtower,
    3) Stable,

Stable isnt important if you are not a full-rubby user!

Nah watchtower isn't that important. I prefer stables as it is quicker support and attack.

I'd say that this is more like it:

    1) Lvl 4 bakeries at all 4 outposts and new kingdoms
    2) Stables in the castle that you attack the most from
    3) Watchtower
    Roman Empire
