I know there are flaws to the idea so if anyone can think of one please post it here.

My idee is. Keep a normal chat (the chat how it's now) and give the leader the possibility to create another chat for the people of his choice from the group. So that it is possible to chat only with people that he/she has to talk to.
The leader can open/close the chat and can decide at anytime who can join into the chatsession.
If you want that, perhaps go to an outside goodgamestudios.com website and use another chat site. Also, why do you want to not include all members of your alliance? Starts to alienate players, break down authority and create disharmony. No one wants to be ostracised.
As for functionality, another tab! There's enough already on screen.

If you don't understand the words I'm using perhaps you should spend more time reading and learning than being on here. Again, you are very emotional - getting upset because I don't rate your idea. It'll clutter the screen unnecessarily. You already have a chat tab. Why another one is needed for in game chat.......
Alcraigh I understand the words you use,I just think they are unnecessary and I probably spend more time reading than you,I'm not at all upset for the simple reasons that 1. I accepted when I started this thread that there were flaws in the idea and
2.I rate your opinion at just below nothing.
Oh, another swiftarrow post that makes me chuckle. You have to stop getting upset when someone disagrees with you. You want another chat option, I don't. Why do you get hung up on it. Sheesh.

P.S The last part was a joke (though it's still true) so don't write another ten paragraphs on why that's not true.
if you wanna talk some things over with your general, while at the same time you're not bothered to create an account on a different website, just use the pm function.
you may argue its inconvenient, but you shouldn't need to communicate a lot with ONLY with your general, except during certain situations. just include the rest of the alliance in normal discussions, using the alliance chat or mass mails.

I am happy to hear most peoples opinion but your is just getting tedious and predictable,you disagree with every idea except your own,I don't care about your opinion but I do care about you posting on my thread without saying WHY as your own quote shows.Prostrategos,you have overlooked the fact that many alliances have more than one general and just about every alliance leader has better things to do than send the same message over and over again especially when it's a long one.
You obviously are one of those users that just reads the last 2 comments on a thread and doesn't see the previous comments made that often contain the arguments in support or against an idea. If you had read through the posts I have made on your idea (this one and the other one I didn't like in the link above), you will have seen a number of reasons that I put forward as to why I didn't like your idea. If you can't find them poignant comments I certainly am not going to keep re-iterating them in every follow up post for you.
As for the comment about me disagreeing with everything, you will notice I have made almost 500 posts and none of them are in the "Entertainment and Spam" section but the General Qu's, Bugs and Suggestions... sections. Hence, many of those are actually in support of, offering help and advice to and discussing in game issues. Perhaps it's just that most of my disagreeable comments are occurring on your threads as your suggestions don't resonate with me.
The final version of the idea took care of all the problems that you already mentioned,so you're earlier reasons did not apply which you apparently ignored.Now back on topic before a mod closes this thread...
