If they're at war then have a bunch of low levels trying to take their RVs, then it's just more hassle for them to take them back and make sure they've got their defenses set up again while being attacked constantly by the alliance they're at war with.
So, you're telling me that a woodcutter is now a dwelling?

Love it when level 32 players speak wisdom like this. Can't wait to see your archers with their 50 rams trundling across the map....
You've always been able to fight for any RV, anywhere, unless the server prevents you from attacking, i.e. the RV is held by a player in your alliance or a pacted alliance.
This entire idea is an insult to lower level players.
I remember seeing a screenshot a while ago where you were planning to take TDU down and were mailing other alliances to help, what happened to that master plan? I was really looking forward to it
As for the concept of rv taking, i can't see why you would want to do this, we are all developed players who all work together well and can coordinate accordingly, while, if alliances were to join you in your suicide mission, they are going to be average players, most of which cant defend their own castles never mind multiple rv's. So as the people above have said:
Good luck...you'll need it!
Twaitsy - You are digging a hole you will never get out of......
If you want RVs wait till they spawn and get their first, that is how I got all of mine, BSK are not RV thieves, neither are the Musks so I am not sure why you think everyone is an RV thief and why you think you taking the easy trying to take the closest RV is a good idea!
LOL I think he's just trying to save anyone dumb enough to try to take any of his a good burning.
With your rules, it will be the strongest alliances who take all of those RVs by force. Resisters will be burned to the ground, and _then_ have their RVs taken by force. Who do you actually think is likely to end up with all the RVs under your rules? The small guys who are throwing a few thousand troops around as an alliance total, or the big guys consisting of 150 players throwing a few thousand troops each?
Do you not think that your plan might backfire, ya know, just a teensy little bit?
I'm not insulting you, I'm trying to show you that you don't now as much about this game as you think you do. I have 15,000 King's Guard Defenders which can be moved to any spot on any map in less than 20 minutes. That is the reality. That is what it is like at the top of this game.
.............Fairytale time!
Once upon a time in the land of Empire there were two players, one of them was twaitsy, let's call him Robin Hood. Then we have lord B, let's call him Friar Tuck (no offence meant). Then we have villages, let's call them wealth.
So we have Robin Hood who wants to redistribute the wealth by stealing from the rich (Me, full villages) and giving to the poor (old Friar Tuck there), who is penniless (no villages
Seems plausible yes? Good old Robin. Yay! for Robin!
But wait, what is this I see lurking in the woods. Seems old Robin has full villages in Everwinter Glacier too, but instead of giving some to Tuck, he wants to steal mine, give them away and keep his.....
Robin doesn't seem so charitable now, does he?
Twaitsy, give your villages to Lord B and all our problems will be solved.
And the all lived decidedly unhappily for ever and ever and ever and ever.......
THE END
I am in a small alliance and am in full agreement with these unwritten rules. Of course GGE wants us to fight over them so they can get us to spend more on rubies. The thing is that they cannot control how we choose to play the game. I have noticed that many on the larger alliances are fair in observing these rules as they don't seem to be the ones who are trying to get cheap honor points by attacking a lightly defended outpost. Attacks on our alliance members' outposts/rvs are not coming from the larger alliances, but from the newer ones who do not observe these rules. As long as the larger alliances are consistant in observing these rules, I support them in that effort.
BINGO!!! Without these rules there would only be the law of the jungle. I have studied the histroy of the period this game is based on a bit and know a little about the code of honor called chivary and the notion of a just war and must say that the rules that the larger alliances have come up with fit these notions far better than than all vs. all battle of the fittest that would be the result if we played the game the way GGE wants it to be played. Again, I am a member of a small alliance, but see the benefits of these rules.
(And yes I spent rubies on the capture attacks.)
Also You cannot have 7 food RVs the game only lets you have 5 of each kind.
(Lord
You used to be able to have more than 5 RV's in ice, until GGE made one of their glorious updates.
woah, woah, woah, don't put all level 30's into this, i'm level 37 and i realize this is the stupidest idea on the forum to date

The concept has some merit, rvs within 10 clicks are much easier to defend and or attack by the players close to them since there is a chance that you can support yourself and unless the owner commits decent defense you can keep harassing those Rvs with minimal troop numbers and forcing players to expend energy they havnt had to previously in defense.
The reality though is this, Someone comes for my Rvs, I defend, they keep coming or even take one, then I have no choice but to shut them down completely or spend 50% of my time defending and fighting for RVs for no glory or honor. In this situation im personally going for option 1. Rather than have my Rvs under constant threat, im going to keep hitting a castle preventing any troops from massing simply so I can have an easier life on game. Its either that or cede them over to another player. That reaction of not leaving players with a single troop alive till they come to their senses is whats going to cause the havoc and mayhem that will come.
