Less than happy

I'm new to the game, five days in, so I move to be located near a friend of mine.

This, I discover, takes 24 hours. Ok, fine, whatever.
Then, I discover, I can't send out my soldiers for this 24 hour period. Oh well.
Then, I realize that my food will run out in 12 hours, because I have a limit due to level of 7,000.
No biggie, my friend can tide me over until I can send my guys out, and either suicide or gather food.
Nope. I can't receive any goods. I can't collect any goods.
Then I discover in 12 hours my soldiers will all go away because of zero food. (I have maxed my food production)
So, all of my soldiers will be gone, and then I come out of beginner protection.
Great system.

Please consider making the lack of food penalty less severe.

    Just stay off the game for 5 days, let it go to ruins and come back and start over getting your newbee protection again and plan better. You are so new in the game that you aren't losing much, just come back in two weeks.

    Or just deal with the soldiers deserting big deal, you can get new ones. At least you will be by your friend and you will get your game on soon.

    That is your fault. You should've known. What would the food penalty be? You just have 0 food? No. It is good now.

    GGE is always trying to get players to buy rubies, and to do that, comes up with horrible updates. Put this in your siggy if you agree.

    I understand that you are frustrated, but you did not have a problem finding the forum to complain but you could have found it and searched "moving your castle" before you dived in. Your problems aren't too bad. This is just the beginning of the game. There will be many, many times things will not go as you expected them to. You just have to trudge along.

    That tutorial is enough, would you like it too add a chapter on how to move your castle also? Sometimes you just have to have trial and error to figure things out, or you do your research.

    Trust me this is so minor, it shouldn't even be on forum. Whenever I lose an attack I don't go on forum complaining about losing my troops and whatnot (trust me I've lost lots of troops in failed attack, talking in the thousands here). I go along in the game. You also have to remember this is virtual, and has no impact on your real life. It should just be a fun pasttime. So next time please plan ahead before complaining on forum.

    Yes. he is right. I was annoyed when i lost my 102 troops. Did i rant on the forum? No.

    Also, during moving your castle I am quite sure you can attacks rbs...

    As a newbie couple of tips - First - losing all your soldiers is not a big deal early on. It happened twice to me, and second time it was infact a blessing in disguise because I had just upgraded the army training centre and I went and made Two Handed Soldiers instead of regular kind.

    Secondly, if things go badly early on its a good idea to let it go to ruins and restart the game. This happened to me too, and I even got some extra rubies (as a consolation?) and second time around I knew what I was doing so my villagers were much happier with me.
    PO Productivity (percentage): 100 + 2*SQRT(PO of castle)
    Colossus PO: Points Required = 10^(PO/60) * 20

    Levels to remember:
    Three additional commanders added by encampment upgrades at levels 4, 15 and 29
    Additional Castellans added by Estate upgrades at levels 13, 19 and 31
    Barracks V at level 26
    Tavern III at level 30
