You whant get about food is why do the troops need food every hour. I means a person can go about 3 weeks with out food.

so u dont go recruiting crazy if my troops didnt consume 4 food every hour per unit i would never run out of food

Well logically speaking like you are, would you be able to wear heavy steel armor and swing and shoot weapons, fight in wars daily, travel for hours and hours daily, carry stones and wood along with your gear, etc; etc;, while eating once every 3 weeks? Doubt it. Not logically speaking, look up

The way I see it, your troops eat an average of X units of food per hour. This doesn't men they eat on the hour every hour, it's just that it's easier to manage your food supply if the figures are worked out per hour, same as wood and stone etc etc.

If you sleep 8 hours per night that doesn't mean you sleep 20 minutes each hour does it, which is the same thing really.
