It wasn't a "bugfix" Gaz, it was a "designfix".

This is the key issue for most players. A bug is something that is accidentally implemented and later removed. What we have here is something that was added into the game through the developers inability to test or balance properly.

Thats why i put that between " " . As i stated earlier and some people miss it, im pretty sure it was in order to balance out the income differences between developing and developed players, also to put a stop people having 100million coins by the summer, which would have happened, and having only 1 option to play the game at top level makes the gameplay dull. Also stated im not sure that the plundering log exclusion of coins was neccessary as it wasnt as a massive advantage and players were still able to use it all up anyway, but putting another 70% on top with all the other bonuses you can have to reduce losses at towers, and able to have 9 of them(which would have happened as well) simply was able to make players unbeatable. Top will still be top, but as the game is evolving and new units, new resources rolling in(and possible balancing their costs, alongside with the forge and technicus) will still make massive wars available but in a bit more strategic way, where expenses are limited(and dont tell me that players now will start buying rubies for coins, as a tower attack still bring you 2000 rubies worth of coins for losing 8 soldiers) people will simply need to make military budget, thats it

Players already did have a military budget. I know I did.

Maybe they could have introduced something new to spend coins on instead of taking away something that has made a lot of players unhappy.

I'm just saying that its an easier GAME life for people who have rubies or have money to spend on them. As a non-ruby player i have a disadvantage as i cant buy things like bakerys, drill grounds, lvl 2+ stables etc.
I am only a child and i don't have the money to spend on rubies,and my parents don't have the money to give to me.

Hey Bilbo, I was just stating that ruby players have issues too. And we need love just like anyone else.

It is possible to get all the ruby buildings if you can manage to avoid spending rubies and save them up. Bakeries first. It will just take a long time to accomplish, but it isn't impossible. Some even find it fairly easy.

glory score and the title itself make no ingame difference anyway a baron with the same troops have exactly the same combat power as if he was a terrible.

You are talking as if there are only really high level players here.
What you have not thought about is the low level players who don't have kinsguard soldiers, things that you have we can only dream of. As only a level 28 player i find it increasingly hard to get enough glory to even stay a count.
With new glory update i struggle to find players that even will earn me any glory points.

One way to avoid this happening again is for them to put a thread called something like 'known bugs'. In this thread the designers could put all the bugs they know about so that
A) we don't get used to it then have a big fuss about it when they change it
support don't get the same bug reported lots of times

But as long as you're here, spouting off about things you know nothing about, perhaps at the very least you could stop telling people to have heart attacks, or stop telling them they have problems in their life simply because they are passionate enough about this game to come on here and add their opinion in an effort to resolve things. That way we could simply write you off as the attention seeking loser you are proclaiming yourself to be and ignore you.

sounds like another war game I along with many others left. The company got greedy and I along with the others called it quits.
Many of us were long time players who spent each month $, some ridiculously so.
We stopped spending altogether over issues such as I am seeing here.
It continued downhill and now the game is losing players on a daily basis.
They haven't even been stopping BOTS in the game. I suspect that is due to those players still willing
to spend and don't want to lose that revenue.

Greed is probably the best way to bring anything down. It discourages the very source of income.

Just my 2 cents...the only cents I offer in this game till I am comfortable it isn't in a downhill slide
due to short sighted management.

I write here more cos im not a "diplomat" to deal with ingame issues and most of the time im on the go so i can access the forum only.

I only told the guy that if he keeps working 24/7 he will get a heart attack. he even thought that tower looting is gonna be a WORK for him now, in a GAME.

games can be played whatever the rules are as long you can play it with others, even if the rules are changing you can always keep playing it, this is what you ultimately forget

I can respect where you're coming from to a degree Gaz but the key issue here is that almost everyone disagrees with you. This isn't to say that your opinion is wrong but that it is less valid due to being overwhelmingly outnumbered. It doesn't matter if you are right in what you say, that people could enjoy the game just as much if they changed their approach to it, because the majority of people don't want to change their approach and that isn't going to change because you say it should.

Regardless of the right or wrong of it, a huge number of people FEEL let down and are angry because of that. Surely this is the point that needs to be addressed?

Exactly, the updates have sod all to do with the bad feelings now. This is a case of customers being angry with a company for misleading them, lying to them (oh yes), refusing to talk face to face and refusing to properly apologize for the mistakes they have made.

Malreyn can only do a certain amount of apologizing and frankly, that doesn't cut the mustard. This has gone too far now to be fixed with spin. We need real, factual answers to our questions with data to back them up.

Until that happens these threads must stay alive or things will only get worse.

It is a fairly complicated issue.

If ggs decides to make such a big change that affect a lot of players they have to make a statement in advance and why these changes are neccesary. if ggs provides statistics to prove that rebalancing is unavoidable, the players have to accept it, whatever personal drawback they suffer as a result.

This is where the problems started and why players started to kill each others, without handful information everybody was speculating.

Personally for me balancing was neccesary to cut the +70% loot bonus on coins, as it was a major advantage for top level players over upcoming ones, they were already developed in sands and fire and with full on villages they were able to feed many looting armies they brought home better and better equipments alongside vast amount of coins those helped to upgrade this equipments to be even more effective. so they become stronger and richer every day, while developing players were still in the same state(90% of them dont even have the plundering log researched until lvl50) So you can see it had a bad effect on the game as widened the gap between players.

Removing the plundering log was unnecesary for me, as it was always counted and the gap was still managable for anybody who were looking upwards.

But as no real reasoning or statistics was given by the developers everything is still in the shadow why it happened as it happened (apart from that it was a "bug" and "balancing")

Some players thought the balancing meant to balance to ruby income by forcing players to buy rubies( i dont think its the main reason as i believe the excessive looting for top players and making unbeatable advantages/+16 equipments/ was the main issue, but obviously selling some townhouses and bribing the taxman is never bad for the company)

Players have all rights to complain as they were not given the neccesary and requested informations from the developers.

And most players now hate me because i dared to point out, that half the update was neccesary and the other half wasnt.

Also players say they invested real money in the plundering equipment, may i ask them how?

If you bought equipment from the trader you get all kind of equipments, so you cant invest in plundering equipment alone. or did you throw the ranged/ranged/melee hemlet back in the forge as it wasnt for pludering bonus? surely not.

Or did you spent rubies upgrading it? Surely you dont need to spend any rubies on upgrading a looter equipment as you have enough coins from towers to do the upgrades to +10 without it and as it only goes up to +70% you dont really need any more upgrade if u have at least 2 items with looting bonus as main attribute and the other 2 items with secondary. Also if u say that i upgraded a ranged/ranged/loot to lvl16 by using rubies thats surely not for looting only is it, so personally i would like to know who are saying they spent real money on looting equipments how did they do that?
