Cows of terror tower

So, as most people know, in the thorn king there is that cows of terror tower. I attacked it this morning, expecting it to count for the quest of defeat x number of towers, yet my progress didn't change. Is that supposed to happen (or not happen....)? I put about 100 troops into that, and I don't want to have just wasted them!?!?

    You get the unexpected encounter achievement (30 points I think) for defeating that tower.

    well yeah, but I only really attacked it because I wanted to defeat 2 more towers and get 50 kg before the event ends.

    all you get is the achievement. it doesn't count as progress in the event. its just there for fun

    well that's just dumb.
    also, the event ends the night between the 17th-18th, right? otherwise my game is off

    it isnt a tower it is a cow. if you looked at it you should have figured that much out. as for when it ends I really dunno.

    let me start off saying my friend told me this so don't question me about my level

    when the thorn king event ends do we get the soldiers in the event even if we did not complete it my friend has 10 kings gaurd soldiers over there and wants to know if he will get them at the end of the event

    You're lucky it showed you at the start, for me the quest showed the progress until the last tower which was supposed to give me 140 soldiers as I planned to attack the Necromancer but I didn't.

    Im pretty sure that you get them back if you don't complete it (I have 100+ soldiers there and 20 KG) if all goes well ill have 120 Kg before it ends

    It gave me the soldiers after I attacked the Necromancer, not as I planned.

    Is doing the event worth it? I am half way through and what do you get as a reward is it just that decorative item?

    I finish it more than a week already. The cow of tower does count as a tower. If the quest didn't change, try to log in again or wait for a few hours. :P

    Yes in the start but it din't at the last quest(As I feared)
