The new city of Ettinboah appeared before the soldiers at midday. "Don't be fooled by this simple setting!" Elfangor shouted. "These people are warriors all." The assempled troops began their march towards the city walls, every man ready for anything. Elfangor disappeared into the mass of weapons and armor.
The ships edged closer to get into firing range. The plan was for them to use their ranged devices for as long as they could before going ashore to fight hand-to-hand.
The magic users began to prepare their battle spells. Lightning bolts, fireballs, and darts of acid would soon fly through the air towards the Aztec-controlled city. Some of the more powerful mages were readying more devastating incantations...
Blazac burst through the hole in the Palace roof, and from there the dragon kept to the skies. This was something he couldn't miss!
Scout "They have placed ranged units on the walls, the mellee units are inside the castle, probably waiting to charge out.Four catapults, stone throwing too,on all gates.Gats are heavily fortified, though it could be taken down with the right tools."
While ranged soldiers pressed the Aztecs on the wall, melee soldiers waded in, ladders in hand.
(Meanwhile the Hulk ships had sailed around behind the Allied foot army and began peppering the area where the magic casters were preparing their spells. The barrages of arrows and crossbow bolts were scattered and irregular, making it impossible for anyone to seek appropriate cover from the deadly volleys, the barrages added in catapult shots regularly, each wave of projectiles taking out more and more whole groups magic wielders and the few foot soldiers left behind to guard the magic wielders while ruining many attempted summonings and spells.)
(Inside the city Achcuahtli was busy directing the defences. With Coaxoch, Coyotl and several other senior Ritualists busy with their summoning, all he had to do was buy them time. With the beasts that had already been summoned before in preparation of an attack he had more than enough creatures to release upon the armies before the Aztecs themselves would have to set foot on the battlefield. He didn't know what they were summoning, but the Containment Circle for whatever it was was surpisingly small, taking up less room than a coffin would. From within the circle there came a faint screaming, not in anger or bloodlust, but of warning. (OOC: I wonder what it is?)
Xiu: I will lead the counter charge. We have to hold them at the crop fields. He wants as few casualties on either side as possible! (OOC: Hmm.) Prepare the Minotaurs and the Kobolds! They will accompany me.
Metzli: I will stay at the walls. Coyotl detected those scouts before they had a chance to get a good look at our defences. Set up the balistai behind the walls! Aim high and pound the stragglers at the back of their army!
(On both of their commands, the Main Gate slammed open and Xiu led a countercharge armed with a simpler mace rather than his Great Weapon. Behind him thundered many scores (one score= 20 people or things in general) of Minotaurs and Kobolds under the control of Xiu. Up on the walls, heavy headed bolts and arrows rained down on the Allied army, knocking out (OOC: Hmm.) many soldiers or otherwise incapacitating them.)
Achcuahtli: I don't understand the reasoning of these people. I'm having Deja Vu all over again. Is that Seiyus man present?
Scout: Yes sir. He's in one of the forward ships with the Empirium Armada on the river.
Achcuahtli: Metzli. Seek and capture, then return him here. If you have to rough him up a little.
(Metzli nods and heads out of a side gate by herself, armed with a whip in exchange of her normal two handed sword and began making her way to the battling fleets.)
On the water, some of the more talented sorcerers teleported onto the attacking Hulk ships, wreaking havoc for a while then teleporting back to the safety of the Empirium Armada. The Aztec ships fell back for the time being.
One magic man appeared on a ship right next to Metzli. A quick thinker, he grabbed the girl and sent an electric shock running through her. She fell to the deck, unconcious.
Two mages of extraordinary power managed to summon great shadow beasts even while under the pressure of the Hulk ships. One beast, a Nightwing, flew into the city. The other, a Shadow Walker, heaved its immense bulk onto a Hulk ship, single-handedly bringing the vessel down. The monster disappeared under the roiling waters of the river...
Blazac roared in satisfaction when the Aztec ship went down, and he chuckled to himself, clever humans, when the crops were set ablaze. The dragon didn't want the foreigners in any of the three nations. He wanted the Continent all to himself!
(Teams of Aztecs rush out to several towers, each with an odd instrument fitted within the ground floor and pulsating with energy. They set fire to them and each sent out a large pulse of energy, putting out the fires from the crop fields before severely disrupting any and all magic users, preventing further use of spells and Rituals for the remainder of the battle. Just then Coaxoch came running up.)
Coaxoch: I've summoned his spirit but I don't know how long he will stay manifested. We have to draw attention to him now!
(Meanwhile in the Empirium Armada)
(Metzli had become conscious once again and set fire to the inside of the ship before quickly exiting and joining Xiu on the front lines. Together they rallied the Minotaurs and Kobolds and renewed the charge, reaching the back of the retreating Allied armies and engaging them in combat, each line of the Empirium foot soldiers falling either criticall injured or knocked out, but not dead. (OOC: Hmm.)
(At the river battle)
(With the Shadow Beasts dissipated and further magic attacks nullified for both sides, the Aztec fleet came thundering back down the river and crashed into the remnants of the Empirium Armada. Due to the cramped space on the river, many of the Empirium ships were close together so once the first couple Hulk ships started ramming into the smaller ships, many were splintered wrecks while the remaining ships were damaged beyond repair as their crews abandoned ship and made for the shorlines.)
(Meanwhile up in the sky a familiar cloud formation was gathering over the city, but instead of a dark, maelstrom like black it was an almost blindingly radiant white. This cloud was growing into a smaller more defined shape of a man with every passing moment.) (OOC: This happened before the spells and rituals were nullified for both sides.)
The shipless sailors of the Empirium Armada hit a side gate full force. They would soon make their way into Ettinboah.
Elfangor had long ago made his way into the Capital, and wherever the Spy went Aztecs were sure to fall, though they fell silently. Elfangor hadn't been noticed yet. Just the way he liked it. The Spy was making his way to the Palace. He needed to find something...
Down dived...Hamar! The red dragon tore into the Aztec ships with much ferocity! Masts fell, and sails burned.
Bobula nodded to Blazac, who gave him a quick wink.Continuing to fight,Bobula lead his people towards the South walls, the rest of his people meeting him there.Turning, they joined with the Empi and Nane armies, and together they atatcked the remianing walls.
It is not in my nature to interfere directly with the affairs of men. Beasts have always been the subjects of my duties. If they want to fight let them, but on the terms of Alastrophar.
His golden eyes darted back and forth once again this time taking on a deep blue coloration instead of the previous gold. Ah perfection. He waves a metaphysical claw through some portals in the void. The stitch together and seal completely. That should do it. No more summoned creatures unless they are summoned from the elements of this plain, and the void's power can no longer be a source of energy for any magic wielder. They'll have to use their own energies, or the energies around them like the wind and sea.
(The white cloud regathered in full force and the clearly defined shape of an ethereal King Lorio formed above the battle field, his lips forming words that no one could hear over the din of battle.)
(Elfangor was captured and catapulted back out of the city, landing with a very audible thud within the boundaries of his armie's camp. Any soldiers from the Allied army that had made it inside had been knocked unconscious and taken prisoner. (OOC: Hmm. I wonder why I haven't killed anyone yet?)
(Xiu and Metzli had awoken again and led a band of Minotaurs and Kobolds and flanked the ship crews that had been assaulting the side gate, killing their commanders (Including General Seiyus) and scattering their men into the countryside, who would not return to the battle out of fear for their own lives. Meanwhile, Coyotl Achcuahtli and Coaxoch had lead a counter charge against the Arcons and repelled them back out of the city and repaired any defences.)
(It was nighttime by now and with no real casualties on the Aztec's side so far the Allied armie's retreated back to their camp for the night to rest and recover with plans to renew the attack the following morning. Many of the Allied soldiers had trouble sleeping, considering the ghost of their former King hovering over the battlefield, his full warning not being heard but the main message getting carried across.)
Spirit Lorio: Empi is under a far graver threat, the only threat in this land comes not from our newest of allies, the Aztecs, who were only acting on my orders to destroy Apercus's planned invasion of Empirium. Their leaving on the day you discovered my death was only a coincidence but you all allowed yourselves to be blinded by Elfangor's words and deny our familie's salvation from the Fell Beasts that, even now, are laying siege to Empi! Since my death, I only learned of this actual enemy from being able to observe the world as God would, and right now Empi is on the verge of falling into the enemie's hands! (his spirit begins fading as he bellows out his final desire) Save Empi! Save our city! Save the innocents!
(His final message is further emphasized by the fallen carcass of Hamar, his body heavily studded by large harpoons and burning balista bolts embedded deep into his bloody and broken body. His last breath is a shuddering gasp as his body implodes upon his own death, creating a small crater in the ground where he had fallen.)
(The following morning, most (and I mean roughly three quarters) of the Allied army had deserted in the night following their dead King's desire to save Empi, as well as the whole nation of Empirium from falling into a living Hell brought forth by the attacking monsters.)
(OOC: This is an ingame way of saying that Empi is in serious danger, so why not help Empirium against the real enemies?)
meanwhile the King of Nane was sitting in a meeting room with a few of his generals talking about the foreigners, as another man wearing a red robe entered the room and walked straight up to the king and slit his throat quickly and as the other generals in the roompulled out their weapons the red robed man pulled out his sword, there were 3 generals and in a few seconds they all lay on the floor dead, the red robed man jumped out of the window, he needed to get to Empi...

(OOC) Smithe, can you post what we discussed?
the Nane Armada arrived near Empi just as the attacking army made it to the walls of Empi, the majority of the ships stayed on the river firing into the crowd as a few of the smaller ships went to the docks of Empi to helpp there...
Brig saw the Nane armada and sent some of his remaining Templars to try and board the ships...

The nobles of the city, along with other important people such as wizards and priests of high status, board the smaller ships of the Nane Armada to escape the conflict.
The remaining soldiers in Empi (about 200 men) board the larger war ships of Nane, and from there the battle continues. The ships have the advantage for now because the Templars have no water vessels, but it is only a matter of time...

"I have seen many wars fought through my four years on this server. I have seen families rise and fall. I have been members of prominent organizations in International 1 and International 2, and have played in United States 1 with my forum buddies as well. It has shown me many things, but mainly that every action that is partaken in this game and in the world can only be deemed right or wrong depending upon your perspective. Never pass the blame, fight hard to succeed. As a non-ruby player, I managed to create and nurture not one but two of the most successful alliance families in International 2. Believe, there is always another path. Success is determined by the amount of effort you are willing to put in"

Seeing that the Templars were almost everywhere, King Seerow knew that the Continent was now Templar Territory, so the man led a group of soldiers, priests, wizards, nobles, and civilians from both Nane and Empirium to the smaller land mass of Spiritus (referenced before by Dom I believe; may not be correct spelling), travelling with the rest of the Nane Armada. With them they brought building supplies and food. It was time to start over.
Elfangor and Hamar (he did not die because he is my other main character) eventually made their way to Spiritus, too. Life there was going to be difficult, but it would surely be worth it...
