If in Protection Mode, can you still capture an empty outpost?

Just wanted to know if i could capture an unoccupied outpost while in protection mode. After all, isn't anyone to fight is there. :L

    as soon as you attack it takes you out of protection mode i'm pretty sure.

    No, you can't capture an outpost when someone is in protection mode, only their RVs. Nucks, you are thinking of open gate, which you can't do to a capture attack.

    im pretty sure the question was can u capture an outpost while u r in protection mode not someone else

    its only if you attack some body like if your a low level and you attack a high level or low level it will take it away cause that is a player but if you attack robber baron it will not cause robber baron is not a player they take it away unless you use your attack on a player lets say this guys name is hot dog is good is you attack that player they will take it away. it will not go away unless you attack robber baron
