An Heir!

This is my idea for a new line of xp quests: After you've defeated the three kingdoms (Everwinter Glacier, The Burning Sands, and the Fire Peaks), you and your princess are blessed with a child! The quests themselves would be in the Great Empire kingdom, and they would involve things like donating resources to build a nursery and to throw a party, recruiting defensive soldiers to protect your heir, and building and upgrading resource buildings and building PO items to give the child something to work with when he becomes lord and to keep him happy until that happens!

I know this is a pretty random idea, but tell me what you think!

I think it would be cool but there are some obvious things that need to be done before we can get this.

Firstly, I really don't want any more buildings in my already full castle.

Secondly, there are no children in this game, and that's for a reason. The last thing GGS wants is to have us all killing kids, this is a game for all the family.

Thirdly, and most importantly, why do we need more XP quests after fire peaks? The quests that exist will take us all to level 60, which is the current end of the game, having more useless XP quests (on top of the ones that already exist) is pointless.

They have just released the resource building upgrades as part of the architect event, why would they want to change that? And upgrading decorative items would be nice, but it isn't going to happen. Imagine how many rubies have been spent on now defunct deco items? I'm sure it works out to a lot of money, I don't see GGS changing that either, it would lower their income from this game.

A big no from me I'm afraid.

    1. It would be simple to add more expansions to castle walls. This would also allow you to have more troops on the wall.
    2. I didn't say anything about killing kids...why did you?
    3. I also said nothing of implementing this right away. This is just an idea for when GGE NEEDS more xp quests!
    4. I'll change it now because I didn't mean for it to come off that I thought PO items should be upgradeable.

    1. Okay, you didn't mention wall expansions in the original post, so I'm a bit confused about that.

    2. I meant that as this is a war game and as we all kill each others soldiers and citizens I don't think having children in the castles would be good, as if everyone is killed then they would have to be included.

    3. Sorry, I didn't realise you meant for the future. Not sure what will happen when they do release more levels, but my guess is they'll probably use a new kingdom for the XP. But I guess having more XP quests in the great empire would work too.

I think it would be a good idea to start a thread simply to encourage ideas related to new XP quests. This way GGS will see what their customers really want instead of making the stuff up themselves. I don;t think I've actually seen a thread based on new XP quests before, but I may be wrong.

There is one big hole in your logic and that is that if everyone in the castle were killed how would you survive?Technically you are the lord of the castle so you would be in the castle at the time. What about the advisor and the general and the kings market men like overseers and drill instructors? Also not all the population are killed only the amount that corresponds to the damage done the dwellings, which are brought back when they are repaired.

The armed citizens (which I think covers everyone) all die in the battle, which can be seen in the reports.

Although very unrealistic, these people are all brought back to life.

My point is that as this is a war game, I just don't think GGS would want any children in the game. Probably the safest option for them.

"Ooh, mummy, my heir was killed by a guy called Deathtrumpet today"

"No more goodgame for you then sonny boy"

-End of Empire as wee know it-

Armed citizens I grant you but what about the others?Do you really think what,a 5 year old would be considired an armed citizen?
Also not all peasants would join the militia,a lot of them would hide.No offense intended.

I'm just saying that as there's a lot of death in this game I don't think GGS would have children depicted anywhere.

Why do you think there are no children in the game at the moment?

I think it's a progression thing. They don't want to add everything at the same time and risk the game not being able to take it. First they added the citizens and then they added the workers. After that, they made it so the workers would go outside and do their jobs. This next step would be adding children. This would answer the question of citizens reappearing after dwellings are repaired. I guess the children (who wouldn't participate in the battle (at least not in my castle)) would grow up to replace those who died.

Sorry, I understand your idea, but I really don't think GGS will ever add children to the game. The idea that they would somehow escape the fighting is unrealistic. Dead kids just isn't a good look.

How is the idea that they would escape unrealistic? You have a warning, so they have a warning! An hour is plenty of time for the citizens that aren't fighting to escape, and the half hour given for some Robber Baron attacks is still probably enough! Another thing, it's not like you actually SEE the bodies of the dead right? Only people that really think about it (like you) would realize that a child COULD have been caught in the fighting! That's a really big could too because I just can't believe that those who aren't fighting would stick around to watch the battle...

You are misunderstanding me. It's not whether they die or not, It's having children in the game at all. It's a war game, they wouldn't do it.

But we're getting away from the idea behind the topic, that having new XP quests in the Great Empire once the levels cap is raised, which is good.

I really don't see the problem with having children in a war game, and I see no problem with the quest line I detailed.

I guess I'll add this to the thread: Post your ideas for quest lines here! They can be for any Kingdom, but make them medieval.
