That could be a seperate idea - have something that increases morale. It could be a seperate deco, or preferably something else that doesn't require space. I suppose it could be one idea. However, I would put the price at 1000 coins per animal, and each animal increases morale by 1. Morale is calculated in the same way as it is for the Thorn King (I've not got it exactly right, but it seems to be very close to 3 moral = +1%).
And of course, you can still lose animals - one is lost for every 10 attackers that gets through to your castle.

i did not like the new idea just take more time to load but that it gets more moral and stuff is good but you should lose more than 1 beacuse how many people can attack the top player on the game and other level 60's and win!
ok it happens every now and again so when i does happen more than 1 should go.
:!::!:it should cost a little less than 1000 but it could double every time you get more eg... first is 10 coins next is 20 next is 40....80.....160 (get attacked half die) 2 left (rounded down) go from 40 again ....80...160 now you have 5 again... so eventualy you will be paying more than 1000 coins for it but to start you have to pay little :!::!:
side note:for level 20+ only (not many 19 and under have much coins to spear anyway)

i like this idea but it would be kinda hard if you dont know what your opponents(on the world map) morale is so you could underestimate your opponent. on the thorn king you have an individual map so morale is fine
