here is my opinion on the update:

the game became unbalanced and the attack interface became polluted

it became practically impossible to defend against an onslaught of 10-20k attacking soldiers

before, it was necessary to have at least twice the amount of defense soldiers to make a good defense. But how to do that now if naturally the amount of soldiers in the yard was limited to 3-4k defense soldiers? How many buffs and items will it take to have double the amount of defensive soldiers to defend an attack?

maybe I'm talking too soon and maybe you didn't fully understand the new mechanics, but the impression I'm giving is that it's now impractical to make a defense and it doesn't matter anymore if the alliance is going to send soldiers to help defend an attack

What a stupid update. Can you explain to me how to defend against any attack? What are the resources for with this new update? Does anyone need more than 5-6k troops? This was made by someone who wants to ruin the game.

You call this an upgrade??? This new attack page sucks!!!!!  It takes way longer to load an attack, I don't use the automatic setting so this is just BAD!!!

Not a fan of the new updates, takes twice as long to set up an attack, seems more like a step back things were faster and smoother the old way

So not happy with the new update mechanics.
Attack set up - ridiculous, long winded, difficult, time consuming, impractical, problematic and NOT FUN!

Defence - Ba, who needs to defend? So you can send 8K in an attack and despite having more than 24K defence troops only 2K actually defend.

GGE you have been bad at this for a very long time but across the 10+ years I have played this game, this would have to be the absolute worst update EVER!

I think this may be my last hurrah with the game, there are plenty of other games that are easier to play/use and are far more fun to play.

Incredibly Crap Update.

Something has happened to the balancing act between attack and defend. (Even on the Samurais). I finally managed to work out how to set up an attack as I used to do. When I get the result, the losses are at least 3 times what they used to be. Nice Work GG!!

I guess there's one good thing about the very clunky attack setup screen. You can't do it fast.
I haven't even had a chance to look at the defence set up yet. Judging by the comments thus far, I am not going to be pleased with that either.

So now there is a max on the number of defenders in the castle used to defend? How does this level things out?

 It looks like the courtyard has a max for some unknown reason. Also, the attack setup is really convoluted and wastes time. Poorly thought out!! Getting not to be worth the aggravation.

Worst update ever!!
