I do undersetand your frustration over this situation. You said no reason at all. Then you have to assume it is a random glory hit. My best advice is to open gates or put in a fire reduction castellan and plant your troops elsewhere. You can't defend some of these attacks without having an equally strong castellan, equal type of troops and maybe defense in the 6 figures. The 11 waved attacks like this are not defendable with normal GOOD castellans. 

I don't think they will be back to hit you, waiting for the gates open to run out because you said this is a random attack. This is a bigger alliance obviously, ruby buyers and they want the glory, they aren't going to sit around waiting for you, they likely will move onto another target.They are likely hitting a multitude of castles at the same time as you, and are just looking for glory amounts. And if you always move troops to a player that takes up the bird protection, the alliance can stash troops when not online. If you have no troops to kill and they can't get glory from you, likely they will move on.

However, if there is a reason for their attacks, that is different story.
