    Plus your costs really dont add up you want 9,000 sam tokens plus 9000 sam medals for 1000 flamebearer / composite troops (no even vets)

    yet the level 4 defense requires losses of in the region of 2500 veteran composites / flame bearers for approx 2000 medals plus no sam tokens?

    so if you used normal flame bearers / composited troops lets assume losses would be approx 2800 so the cost to defend one level 4 castle would be 25,000 sam tokens plus 25,000 sam medals to get a return of 2300 sam medals?  And thats before we factor in the lost ruby tools.


    As you can see there is something more than a little off I am not sure whoever has researched the reward levels on this has really done their homework, and its ok saying well just use coin troops to defend but you made the attacks so powerful using coin troops is not an option.  or you simple get 3000 losses with zero return.

    why dont one of you actual players ie not someone with a little button they can get infinate troops.  Play this event.  Play it properly.  And why dont you get proper feedback on how many troops / coins  / rubies they used, and compare that to how many medals they got back.  but i mean do it properly.  Play the event for a min of 12 hrs give it a proper go.  see how many castles you can hit  / defend in that time.  and add up the cost vs the reward. 

    its clear you dont believe your players so why not ask your employees who play the game,  and do your own research.

    I suspect when the novelty wears off on this event, and players actually start looking at it properly, it will end up on most peoples ignore list, as the costs simply dont match up with the reward levels.

  • I gave it a try...not impressed. Glitched as well. Tried hitting a level 3 just to see what the losses are and nothing. Hit refuses to launch.

    Hopefully this will give a side-by-side comparison.  Defenders were all flamebeares and Compound bowmen with 100-0-0 100 range on wall.  Castlelan was Relic and same 1 for each.  On the otherside for the castles all attacks were auto-fill with relice commander of (120 R/ 120 Melee and 60% cY strenght)  of course all relice commanders are around (+/- 2) of 115 wall, 115 gate.  Moat  - does not exist so its value is moot.  Assaulkt troops were all Horrors.

    Now in addition the casthip and townships level will increase the more attacks so the numbers will vary, but it is a reasonable side by side comparison.

    You have hit the mail on the head Phil, why should we hit the daimyo castles when it doesn't count for sams event and we get nothing for ltpe. There is no sane reason to do it unless the rewards are completely reworked and sams tokens issued and sams tools need to be available for attacks there.

    Now that the event is over, I'll say my first impression of just a few minutes wasn't too far off.  Nice idea, but rewards are nowhere near in line with the costs.  lvl 1 on the attack side seems about right.  On defense rewards probably need to be doubled, maybe tripled to compensate for the costs.  As the levels go up the cost to reward ratio just gets worse.  

    On all levels, the regular sam tokens should be part of the rewards, as well as the sam tools working.  I also don't think the levels should be made easier, just the rewards increased. Keeping the challenge is good.  If you want it to be a whack-a-mole event, then just hit the lvl 1 stuff.

    So GGE, good idea, but fix the reward balance.

    u can get losses for lvl 4 castles below 1k with relics but still not worth it long term

    The level 4 camps in both att and defense.  

    By the time the camp gets to level 120  you are looking at 3800 troops with 180% troop strength and 120% cy.  which basically makes it totally impossible to beat not only with coin troops but also with event troops.  Meaning the only way you can possibly beat this level camp is to use Horrors.  

    The same goes for level 4 camps when defending apart from these are even worse, pretty much from the start they are pretty much impossible to defend against unless using ruby troops.  

    I dont believe any level on this game should only be able to be played unless you use ruby troops.  Thats taking pay to win to a whole new level thats effectlvly pay to play.

    Losses are stupidly high, meaning that any reward gained is simply not worth it.  The idea is not a horrible one but your difficulty vs reward is way way out of balance.

    Also I think that when hitting / defending camps (assuming you sort the balance out) that tboth shoudl also give out normal Samurai tokens.  As basically anyone competing in the new event is basically getting penilised for not playing the normal Sam event and getting normal sam rewards / alliance rewards.

    The kahn event gives out normal tokens as well as medals, that works as hitting one thing is not hurting your chances in the other.  this should be the same sort of system.  its crazy to say if you play the new event its going to massivly going to hurt you and your alliance chances in the existing sam event, they 2 should be compatabile as they are in nomads.
    You have to use relic sami casty and coms to beat the highest level.  They should be able to top out at around 150r/150m 80 cy-ish.  I believe most of this revolves around the use of relic gear for NPCs.  As there is a huge potential for the unique gear is being phased out for NPCs.  I've been deleting NPCs gear for a while which lead me to have to start looking at Relic combos to make the event work semi well.  The biggest take a way from this event is the risk to reward ratio isn't balanced.

    I spent a little more time trying to play the event after being frustrated by my last post.  The pop-ups need to be resolved.  I understand its intent is to limit the ability to bot or macro, but this can't be the solution.  The pop-ups alone create a lag in the game and make people not want to log in.

    In my personal opinion the Kahn event is the most balanced event GGE has made.  Yes it can be bought, but the average player can grind his or way through all the rewards pretty easily for free.  Ruby's should be used to eliminate screen time, not egregiously used to buy horrors and expensive event tools to complete an event.  It's one thing to have to use one or the other, but both should never the result of an NPC event.  GGE needs to understand that its average player will consider spending $20-$30 on a event, but having to buy $100-$200 worth of troops 3 times a month in an event cycle is not feasible for most.

    Everyone has mentioned the rewards in feedback. We will be looking at rewards for either the next event run or the one after to make it more worthwhile for you.
