Too much criticism, not enough praise!

Hello all!

So, lately I have been scanning different parts of the forum other than my home, the Entertainment and Fun section! Particularly in this section, there is a lot of criticism about GGS and the game, all the problems with it, angry customers... Ect. But I don't see much praise!

I mean, take a look around. GGS has given us a great game to play for those who spend their lives looking at a computer screen! (Or not) There are lots of problems with the game, I'll admit I think GGS are a bit greedy with money and there are issues with events, lag, bugs, offers, and so on. But there are still some fun things about this game, that's why so many people play it. For me, the best thing about it is more the social aspect of it, I've met some wonderful people on here!

So, I thought I'd create a thread just to appreciate the little things in Empire that make it fun, challenging, interesting or whatever! (I like positivity, you see...) Share some of the things you like about it, or something like that. Even if you think this is the worst game in the entire universe created by the devil, recall the time when you played and enjoyed it, and tell us why! Something along the lines of that... So yeah!

I respect you. Even though this game has bad updates I still love it. The War of Realms when it first started, lots of people where complaining but wouldn't it be fun to be challenged?

Yay! I'm happy to see some positive responses (I was hoping the first few posts wouldn't be hate filled towards GGE...) And yes, a challenge makes games fun every now and again!

Hi Tony,
I'm glad there are some people who agree with me! Good on you for having the courage to post something like this, I know there are lots of people who rave on about GGE being rubbish, and it's not right that they continually criticize the game; or that they abused you. I enjoy the game, as I'm sure a lot of people do!

Definitely backing you up on this, Sarah. It's 1222 days – 3 years, 4 months and 5 days – since I started playing Empire, and I'm still playing. I won't say I'm a "proud non-ruby buyer," because I bought rubies. I don't regret it. It didn't make the game any more enjoyable, but it did go quicker so I got to the even-more enjoyable parts faster.

Sure, I hate the pop-ups constantly blocking my screen, but, really, does GGS have any games that you simply have to pay money to play? No. How else are they suppose to make money to keep updating the games, some of which aren't very popular. Galaxy, anyone? Big Farm? Yup.

Well, ruby players payed real money to help themselves so they deserve an advantage over their opponents. The money goes to the management of GGS and continues the preservation of Good Game Studios. "Ruby whales" pay huge amounts of money to get an advantage over their opponents and also play a huge deal to the preservation of Good Game Studios. Since they donated so much money for the employees to continue working, therefore, they deserve quite an advantage. All games have like Good Game Empire, the option to purchase stuff with real money, thus gaining the upper hand. Think of it as a charity to Good Game Studios. Ok, so "Ruby whales" are immensely powerful and Ruby players have a slight advantage... it is after all, a game. Games are designed to have fun...

Some games are addictive like smoking and alcohol... watch how much time you spend behind the screen...

I praise GGE for dismissing player feedback on bugs and the recent updates which were designed to give the much larger ruby players 10x the advantage of the majority of the rest of the players. I praise GGE for now for recently adding to the offensive side of the game to where the legendary update has effectively ruined your experience at level 70. Supporting alliance members against a 2.4k hit of horrors/ruby troops and a supercomm and getting totally rekted because not everyone in the game has a 90/90 cast or 24 limebombs available at their disposal. I praise GGE for making the game now that nearly every big alliance in the game is password sharing because they are getting slaughtered by these supercomms etc and now using fire casts. I praise GGE for having to say goodbye to a couple of players I know every week as they are leaving due to the game developing to a point where it is not really fun due to the legendary updates etc and they go to different games. I praise you GGE for pissing on me and most of the rest of your customers who supported your game in which we paid real money to support your game and develop it. I praise you GGE, I praise you for effectively showing someone how to ruin a once fun and enjoyable game.

I love the many epic events in this game: those nomad camps, foreign castles, etc. Also, there are loads of special offers and I meet many people everyday and make a lot of good friends. I love this game!!

Hello everyone,
I have been playing this game for almost a year now on the dutch server, and I am still really enjoying it. I think the latest updates have been really good ones. I had my doubts about the hospital at first, but later on I really started to appreciate it. GGS has given me many gifts in the game, even though I am a non-ruby player.
I think it is time for some actual praise! So good job starting this thread!

I praise GGS for the Nomad update.Good way to get rubies for alliance,also rewards such as x100 - x200 Khan gives huge boost to smaller members as their level nomads gives,sometimes less then 15 tablets...
